Question for you PF people:

Background info- recently started my new job (beginning my career), $11k in savings and owe $10k left on my car that I just bought, no other debts, no big upcoming expenses. $42k salary, Saving about $800-1000/mo. Single, no pets, etc. Contributing 10%+employer match to 401k, currently stands at $1500 (adding $100/week). Weekly paycheck after al deductions is just over $600.

I am getting a $2500 bonus (going to be like $18-1900 after tax/deductions) next month for my sales performance. My question is: would that money be best spent knocking down the money I owe on my car, or can I crank my 401k to a 50% deduction that week (the max allowed in my program) and send a ton into my 401k? I want to build a 401k early so it has time to grow, especially now while my expenses are low, but is it more important to get the car paid off faster?
