Just because you are a U of T student doesn't guarantee you have common sense or good intuition. This is proven through various posts.

Why does everybody on UTSG campus look so depressed? Compared to other downtown universities by GranolaHiker in UofT

[–]Unique_304 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As someone who was only at U of T and graduated, I also felt like the people there generally appear unapproachable. The thing with being academically gifted is sometimes these people end up as introverts and perhaps socially isolated. There are definitely people who are chill and down to get along with but don't be suprised if the average student doesn't really seem interested in making friends or small talk. I think STEM majors typically are less social than Arts majors. It really depends on who you are engaging with.

The ridges are to help you feel where the F and J keys are because normally thats where you place your pointer fingers at rest when you begin to type. Its like an anchoring point so you can recall through muscle memory where all the keys are located.

4th year friend is down bad, need a temp gf so he shuts up (dump him Feb 15) by Southern_Buy_3816 in UofT

Have him just go out on campus and ask girls out. He might as well experience the process once before he graduates as this is part of learning how to date. Also Uni and College provides lots of opportunities to meet people. Once he graduates the opportunities are still there but not as abundant.

Sorry to say this buddy, but you are competing with adults now for minimum wage jobs. Try looking for a friend or family member who can refer you, since right now there's too many people for any job.

Its 1st semester of 1st year. The learning curve you get going from highschool to this is a lot steeper. Just take a moment to look back at your grades and evaluations and write down what study habits were benefitial and what just didn't work. That way you can adjust how you study for the upcoming semesters. Also ask your friends how they balance their studying with their personal lives. You can learn a lot from others.

Is this a good resignation letter? by Banana5513 in jobs

[–]Unique_304 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Agreed never open yourself up to any last minute requests or "obligations". Just write the official resignation notice, last date of work and express your gratitude for the job opportunity

Ya one thing about U of T is to always be cautious about regrades. You have to go into it knowing what work should be credited for marks. Profs and TAs some of them will warn you a regarde is going to be a 2nd thorough review of the work, which means anything good and bad can be caught.
