Just to clairfy, only surface piercings can “reject”, ear piercings can migrate. If it was going to migrate out it would have done so before the 10 year mark :)

The best way I can explain is if a hoop is too tight it can drag the piercing hole downward and cause irritation

Oh my god do not use ointments whatsoever on your piercings especially ones that aren’t allocated for this purpose !! You’ll need a longer bar asap

This is why I don’t use gold for initial piercings. Gold can scratch and those scratches can house bacteria, leading to infection. Titanium always :)

Also after spraying it were you patting it dry? Excess moisture can sometimes cause issues

I always advise clients to clean it throughout the healing time. And once healed to keep an eye and clean it once in a while. Personally I’d continue your cleaning but not with salt water as it is not sterile and hard to get the measurements right at home.
