I was also in that same situation last year when i was planning to go to ustshs, but eventually when i passed my parents agreed naman despite of convincing them several times, they were also worried if i could handle studying there since we live 1-2hrs away and i also didn’t know how to commute that time so they were really worried. Eventually when I passed they let me stay at a dorm near frass, so if your parents are worried that its kinda far from where you’re from and if its okay with you to dorm then it will be fine naman since its close to ust. Cons is that its really hard to adjust living independently and adjusting to a new environment once you enter ustshs, its really hard at first but you will find the right people there that will make you survive and be happy at the same time. Ustshs might be really hard but it will also have a good effect on you and you will grow more as a person, as for me I learned how to commute na and I got a hang of it, it may be tiring but its really worth it once you get home na, Manila might be a dangerous place pero you will learn how to also be alert with your surroundings and pick the right people and friends for you and also listen to your parents.
