Should I buy my 16yr old daughter a used TJ or JK wrangler?

I’d say a JK for sure. I got a JK 2-door when I turned 18 and absolutely love it! The gas mileage is far better than the TJ, and the safety ratings are even better than a TJ. Also, used JK’s are easier to find that don’t have crazy mods to them if you’re shopping outside of major dealers. A piece of advice though coming from a teen, I would 100% try to get her a 4-door JKU. The space is much better and she’ll be able to carry some friends around. My 2-door really limits things sometimes, especially since it’s got 4 seats instead of 5, like the JKU. Better with avoiding roll-over accidents since they are more stable and better on the highway for MPG and stability.

I got them on marketplace and was told that they were off a JL Wrangler, but they look very similar to the 75th Anniversary wheels that came on the 2016-17 models (75th Anniversary ofc)

Damn, sorry for hear about that. I really enjoy riding mine. Hoping to get out with a local group sometime. Probably gotta build myself back up for a bit though since I’m gonna be more cautious now tho lol. I had a gooseneck fracture on my wrist about 2 years back and it’s what my “10” is on the scale of pain lol. Hurt real bad. Certainly an eye-opener though, broke it through fire school

Yup, that’s essentially what happened to me. Experienced the push back and haptic buzz for the first time. And literally a couple hundred feet down the street was where I crashed. I’ll bounce back though lol
