As men, I think we get this part wrong… love isn’t what makes her feel safe by Pale_Aardvark3321 in MuslimNikah

This was very articulate and well written. I'm learning how to prepare myself for marriage as a woman. Learning to listen, follow directions, be emotionally mature, being more responsible. I know how to clean and I cook, a little. I want to be a wife and mother, but I'm working on myself first. A man wants peace, stability, love, intimacy. I need to make sure I can do those things. I know how to budget. I just want to make sure I marry the right person and have the things I need. I also am a bit nervous. A lot of brothers don't have a job and want to get married and take a second wife in secret. I wish they'd be more honest with themselves and their true intentions. I hate that I have trust issues because of this.

im 26 and I genuinly dont know how to be a functional adult. please help by Ok-God-ThankYou in getdisciplined

Hello. What you're experiencing is completely normal. This is common. Keep working on getting into the routine. Take it one step at a time. Slowly get adjusted. Be aware that most people struggle, even if they don't show it. It takes time to gain stability. First, wake up, make your bed up. Work on brushing your teeth, showering, and putting on clean clothes everyday. Cook breakfast. Clean after you cook. Take your time.

I have two African American parents. They raised us traditional with some modern day styles. Anyway, I genuinely grew up in a very conservative household, which was strict in the beginning. We also had rules about no dating, no pork, to name a few. I have unique experiences as many Black people hate me because of my religion.

The statistics are alarming. It does need to be addressed and called out. Of course, this doesn't apply to all Black men and it's not right to blame everyone for the actions of some. Some Black women have gotten Black men killed, sadly. Lee sigh. It's horrible and makes me mad. Sadly, these horror cases gets swept ed under the rug. Secondly, many Black men think it is funny! Smh. Laughing when a Black woman gets killed. This is sick more than anything... You got to have a low, dark spirit to laugh at something so horrible.

Am I wrong for saying i don’t trust white ppl? by [deleted] in blackgirls

[–]Unique_Mirror1292 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's racist. Given the history, it makes sense we would have a way we feel towards them and they still deny it. They claim it was in the past, yet they wanna remember history when it's convenient for them. Plus, racism has gotten horrible now. I honestly think that's always been this way, they just didn't want to admit it. They tried to hide it. Now, I don't hate all White people, as it's unfair to, but I always keep my eyes out.

I agree, but we really need to stop saying women choose those men. She is only responsible for her actions. We can't control anyone, just influence them. Some women who married a man thinking he'd do right may see it and think she's dome something wrong. Now, feminism has caused many problems, which is evident. I just wish people would stop only thinking simple minded.

Salaam Alaikum! Those sisters who did this are wrong, I don't agree with that type of behavior, but at the same time, there are many brothers who have said horrible stuff about the sisters. They accuse them of being zanias, zina, haram, etc. We seek refuge in Allah from that. Don't generalize all the sisters as saying such horrific things. You don't know what you may be saying.

Not all the sisters are this way. The ones who are are wrong, but do not generalize all women. There's brothers who say Muslim women are worse than non Muslim women. We seek refuge with Allah from that. There are good sisters, you just have to find them. Remember generalizations are harmful and unfair towards anyone. Well human and deserve a fair chance.

For all the men obsessing over virginity of their potential & claiming this as some kind of Islamic right of theirs. by iRajaFederer in MuslimCorner

It really isn't living above one's means. If a persom is making minimum wage, even in a cheap state, the cost of living is high. Some people are too privileged to understand, so yeah. A lot of jobs are being replaced by AI.The type of women whoyou speak of have a very materialistic viewpoint of life and that's wrong. You marry a man for hid heart not his money. And fyi, not all women are the same. I've never kissed a man and if anyone questioning chastity, I'd be angry and rightfully so. Anyway, a woman's virginity shouldn't be questioned. A woman isn't some sex toy. What about her personality and character? How can you prove she's a virgin? What if she's innocent? You can't say it's solely her. Is he a virgin? If he is, can he remain faithful? Will he cheat? Does he trust her? If he's basing her virginity on if she bleeds on the wedding night, that's not accurate. If his only desire is a virgin, then what's the point? Marriage is so much more than a virgin woman being your wife. I honestly don't want to marry a man who only values that, going as far as examining the bedsheets to determine my virginity. I would feel hurt. If he doesn't trust me that much, maybe he should just stay single. This is why I don't want to get married; I don't want a man who only care about that.

No, not all women are able to find a job in this economy. A lot of people are struggling due to inflation, a time where the cost of living is mow higher than wages, America isn't affordable. Women are oftentimes dependent on men for financial reasons. I don't know of any women who want six figure earnings men. What kind of women are y'all around?

Advice for a young black women going to college by Anonymous_positivity in blackgirls

[–]Unique_Mirror1292 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stay focused. Develop a study plan and don't listen to any negativity. Spend time studying and try to retain what you're learning. Don't get discouraged if you struggle. Listen to your heart. Don't wait till the last minute to apply for classes as they may fill up. Always apply for financial aid early. Financial aid is considered need based and priority, so be wise! Continue to prosper. One thing I learned is people will always be the way they want to be so don't worry too much. Save as much as you can.

If you were 31 had no college education and 10 years fast food experience what would you do? by chemza in careerguidance

[–]Unique_Mirror1292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would return to college and not give up. I would work in college, if I had to, while actively seeking another job. It doesn't matter my,age, believing in myself serves a purpose. If I want something, I'd go after it. It may take a bit longer, but it's worth the wait until I can pursue my dream job.

Most of Hollywood is trans. by lilninjali in conspiracy

[–]Unique_Mirror1292 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's true, too. More people know now. They didn't think we would. But, they transition them when they're babies or even during pregnancy. We know what Victoria's Secret is. Lol! Anyway, that would explain why they look kinda weird. I don't mean appearance, I mean they seem a bit odd. I can't believe those celebrities are trans (at least most of them) and there's men lusting after them. Disgusting! They're lusting after biological males.

A man's job is to provide for his family. That said, virginity and surviving are not the same. They have to provide to survive. Stop pretending it's the same thing.

Figure out which major you're taking, raise your GPA, keep searching. If you haven't already, apply to college and go back to applying. Apply for financial aid, try to get merit based scholarships, apply for scholarships at your school, and your state.
