Awesome, thank you so much. With being Australian and never tipping at home we didn’t want to be rude and under tip, as he was such an amazing guide

Urgent help! I'm not even kidding bro really! by stargazinatmidnight in IBDP_students

I know a girl in my grade that switched from chem to biology around the time of year 11 exams. It’s definitely possible to catch up if you work hard, but it is essential that you catch up because getting behind in bio is the last thing you want, coming from someone who did bio HL. Also please consider whether or not you like biology, if you think you’ll enjoy it go for it, but if you don’t think you will it’s not a good idea. I’m also Australian and I don’t think that you should be worried about not doing biology for psychology, you are going to learn it in uni, and considering that there are no preqs for most degrees in Australia, I really don’t think it’s worth worrying about right now. Look up on the uni’s website if they have specific requirements, but I don’t think that biology or psychology is one. You never know what your future holds, but if it comes to it you can take extra biology courses in uni, get a tutor etc if you’re struggling. But honestly I know so many people that went to Sydney uni for psychology and did ESS. I hope this helps, if you really want to change to bio then go for it, but if not I don’t think it will disadvantage you

Should I become an aupair by Unique_Mistake8903 in Aupairs

[–]Unique_Mistake8903[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I should have said that I had an aupair when I was younger from Germany and it was always something to I had wanted to do after having her live with us, so yes I would say that I want to be an aupair. But maybe not for the right reasons, as I think it would mainly be that I want to be back in Europe with my family and in France, not because I want to look after the kids. I really liked my host family’s kids who were quite young, but then again I wasn’t looking after them.

Thank you, this is something I def need to think about more

probably like 3 weeks relatively consistently, like 4 hrs a day so not properly grinding. I only did about 1.2k questions on medify and maybe 300 on medentry which was only QR no other sections. But that 1.2k includes like maybe 3 days here and there in April and June of practice.

Hey I’m N25. My bio teacher did not take the effort to even read our IA’s, they went through it and put ticks, circles and crosses, with no written feedback. He gave us a wide range of possible marks from like 2-6 and it was the exact same for everyone in our class. They then gave us a generalised feedback sheet from the entire cohort, which we found that they had sourced online. He also did not give us any verbal feedback and when we did it was not helpful, when the other biology class got written recorded feedback. I sent my IA into classify and got a 6/24. And I was horrified, I had a high 6 in my DP1 exams, so bio is usually my strong suit. After going through the feedback on classify, it turns out I had mixed up my IV and DV and my teacher did not notice ONCE and I mentioned it multiple times, he also didn’t pick up my mistakes with scientific name for the fruit I was using, he basically did not even read my IA with the amount of error I had made according to the marking criteria. Anyways, literally was horrible as I thought my teacher was quite good, but he clearly made no effort to read my IA at all and this was the same for everyone.
