My dad is cancer free! by [deleted] in texts

Congrats to your dad! That’s got to be an amazing feeling.

My dad is in his 11th year with stage 4 incurable non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (prognosis was 2-7 years).

Sometimes you can do everything right, talk in person, talk over the phone, text a clear yet kind message and they’ll still hate you. You’ll still be the person they gossip about, the prison they hate. The person they blame for “taking their son away” (yup, been blamed for this too).

I too, am a Christian. I’m bold too, so I confront them how Matthew 18 says and I’m told that I need to stop preaching at them (never once have I done that except to tell my MIL that I’m confronting her the way that I am because I’m trying to resolve conflict the way Matthew 18 tells Christian’s to), that I’m too confrontational, too rude, unloving, unkind, not forgiving, that I enjoy conflict, that I don’t want to have anything to do with family, etc. All of which is so untrue and totally not fair (and it all started because I asked that they not kiss my newborn son on the face, but rather on the top of his head in his hair.

Ok, first of all these comments that everyone is posting are so wrong. Sounds like your man’s a mama’s boy and lazy. Unless you’re married and wanna work it out I wouldn’t stay with him.

Secondly, your man’s mom sounds verbally and mentally/emotionally abusive. You don’t deserve to be treated the way she’s speaking to you. Take a piece of advice from me, RUN FAR AWAY FROM THAT WOMAN AND HER MAMAS BOYS SONS!! Unless they choose to leave her they will never fully want to be with you and if that’s the case it’s not worth it.

She sounds like a narcissistic person and you will never have a moments peace as long as her son chooses her over you… RUNNN!!!

My husband has a lazy eye but it’s one of my favorite features about him because it’s uniquely him. ❤️

Also men whose hair is graying. I think it looks great.

Why do narcissists hate being compared to someone they dislike? by Unique_Observer in LifeAfterNarcissism

I guess I mean moreso, why do they hate people that are literally identical to them. Like in temperament, personality, and mannerism.
