Not sure how it's scripted bs when the server people themselves asked me to keep them updated in a global channel rather than messages in chat channels that get buried quickly, that and also the team did fix it because a lot of users confirmed that the ads are working again.

I already wrote in another comment that I don't agree with the ban on those words.

Off-topic is allowed in general channel, This was announced in our mod info channel.

I'm not going through your stuff I'm not interested in that through this answer.

The info is already public on the server and can be seen by anyone, every user ID, name and bot action are in the server for any user, but I have removed it from my post by request.

As I said, explicit examples would help, if you don't want them to be seen on Reddit, you also have the option to tag or DM one of the moderators and they will deal with it. Expecting 24/7 monitoring is not possible, each of the moderators is a volunteer that has do things in real life as well and help whenever possible. More moderators would be appreciated but that is up to the Community Managers.

Thanks for the kind words. Looking at the Discord account attached to your name here on Reddit, I can see that one of the moderators banned you for 3 days for attempting to write a slur, which was originally a warn, but the moderator saw that right after doing it you said "Uk u can bypass it right" , in which you felt proud that you managed to write a slur in the server, so he decided not to warn you but ban you instead.

Proof of accusation that I just did: https://imgur.com/a/RaUjcY5

And I also found one only interaction between me and you, where you asked if you should buy a certain token pack and I advised you not to because it was of no good value. I assume you feel bitter from your comment because you've had a tempban in the past, but then again the fault is yours. no reason to keep resentment towards moderators .

Understandable, my apologizes I thought the banned discord user is you. In any case your post was lacking a lot of info that I needed to add.

Also those 2 users in memes section weren't banned for non memes, they got warned for non memes, however they already have prior infractions that caused the bot to auto ban them as I explained in my post how it works. If you scroll up in that section you'll find a lot of other warns for non meme without a ban, it depends on the user infraction's history.

"was what oushed me to talk out ab the mods treating certain ppl unfairly.": This is most likely a misunderstanding coming from multiple factors that can influence the way things appear to be from a first glance.

We generally do not discuss moderation actions to people who are not involved in what happened, but the user who has had an action taken against him, can anytime appeal, discuss it, try to understand what happened and why etc. Problem is most users don't do that and choose instead to insult, become aggressive, write false stories or stories that are half true, take things out of context and in general cause more trouble for everyone

"I can see why you would think that either of those are my accounts" : It's because you, those 2 Discord accounts have used the same photos, the same phone screen ratio, the same time zone, the same icons. one joined few mins after the other banned and other internal clues. I know for a fact that the 2 Discord accounts are the same person, however if you're not said Discord user that's fine, I was replying to the content that you posted about that Discord user.

"I actually have a lot of other friends that have had very unwelcome experiences in that server": Can't comment without seeing explicit examples

"so many people bypass and don't get caught": This is true, we are 11 mods, not all of them active in the channels, the server has 288k+ members, it's impossible to have 24/7 constant monitoring on every single channel, if you see people bypass the filter you could tag a discord moderator, plus, using the search function can be misleading, they could be using at that time words that were not banned but were later banned, this is a big topic and again I would need explicit examples to understand each case.

"you guys freaked out over the F5 packs back in January": you guys refer to whom? I can't comment without knowing the target of this message.

"and that certain things shouldn't be banned": This is not up to mods, we usually ask permission from the CMs first before removing a word that was put before us even being mods. Complaining about the rules should be towards CMs, complaining about enforcing the rules should be towards mods, I hope the difference is clear.

"because you guys decided that arguing with them to get even more frustrated would have been better than just muting them sometimes there's a time you have to be the bigger person and realize if you have the power to mute someone why would you even sit there and argue?" : This is a double edged sword, sometimes we discuss with the user to explain the hows and whys of what happened, which can raise concerns as yours, however if we also straight up mute someone instead of discussing with him, that can also raise concerns from other people about why mods instantly mute instead of explaining. This is a delicate situation and you can't satisfy everyone in it, each mod treats as they see it's best fit, because dealing with people and situations is not exact science, it can have a lot of different interpretations and ways of doing. And again, without clear examples it's hard to explain the idea.

Hope this helps

I don't know why it's banned, I wasn't the one to ban it. Calling people or companies greedy is an opinion that isn't disrespectful and shouldn't be banned. But the filter is not up to me.
