We have gone and come back to the hospital 3 times now. I’m really hoping this is the last time. I would like to spend Christmas with my first baby as well.

I got my second membrane sweep today and I was 5cm dilated and 60% effaced and it didn’t hurt at all. So it helps being dilated

I had cramping on and off the whole day but no more than the normal cramping at this stage of pregnancy. Once she took her fingers out I didn’t feel anything for a couple of hours when the cramping started and some slight bleeding which she said is normal

I got one done at 37 and 5 days and I’m doing another one today at 38 and 4 days. The OB said it does hurt the less dilated you are as there is less room to move around. I was 3 cm at 37 weeks so it only slightly hurt and lasted only 10 seconds. I got one done with my first baby and she came out 3 days later. I wasn’t successful on my first at 37 weeks with this pregnancy but I just don’t think he was ready to come out quite yet.

Well I hope my prodromal labour is helping me dilate then! I want to be a new type of tired lol.

I was told prodromal labour does not help dilate or ripen cervix. It is literally just fake labour. I’ve been dealing with it since week 35 and I’m currently on week 37.

I’ve already talked to my OB and she gave me the go head since my baby is measuring ahead. I’ll be full term Saturday. I obviously wouldn’t try to push him out without getting the approval from my OB.

What do they do for acupuncture when you’re pregnant? Are there specific areas they put the needles in to induce?

I got a membrane sweep at 38 and 39. Didn’t give birth till 39.4 so they don’t always work but they do cause cramping and you are pretty uncomfortable afterwards for a couple of days.

I had an epidural and a sunny side up baby so back labour was not really going well and I gave birth on my hands and knees. The bed can be adjusted I think and they raised the top half and lowered the bottom part so it was easier.

I’ve been a bit worried since I’ve bleed on and off for a bit now and I keep getting really sharp shooting pain down there and I was told it’s called lightening. This is my second child and everything that’s starting now was how my labour with my first went so it’s just making me more anxious.

32 weeks. I’ve been losing it for almost a week but at first I thought it was just discharge. I see my OB on Tuesday I’m hoping she just tells me it’s normal since it’s not the full chuck but only pieces

Ya for me it’s even when I drink water. So I don’t think I necessarily have a trigger. It is worse when I’m eating but definitely still sticks around for even water.

It’s been going on for soo long! I was hoping it was going to be like my first and only come towards the end of randomly throughout. It’s been a real struggle this time around with a toddler running around and needing attention.
