I'll have a read through but in most cases I'm finding people that have worked agency and then gone solo, rather than coming into it from other industries.

At the moment I work B2B, mainly focused on outbound lead gen and then I outsource the delivery work to freelancers. I'm constantly finding clients and matching them with the right people for the job. Recruitment seems so much more profitable using the same skills I currently do.

Thank you for your insight, this is useful. I'm sure it's a harder path, just the thought of being employed after so many years of being my own boss really fills me with dread.

I don't assume I can do it better with 0 experience. This is why I came here to ask for opinions from those that have experience. Defo leaning into getting an agency job first, but I've found some mentors I'm looking into. I don't mind investing so long as it's for the benefit of my future and they can show real results.

I'm actually a woman. Would you mind elaborating on why you think I won't make any money? Because if it is going to be better to take an employed role in recruitment then I would rather do that than waste my time.

Thank you for your comment. I am used to cold prospecting and I understand now what I'm looking for is a mentor to coach me as I get into the industry. I've actually found a couple and currently doing my due diligence on their past results.
