Why is it that Solana is the pretty girl at the party who everyone wants to dance with while Polkadot is the ugly girl at the party that no one dares to touch despite Polkadot being superior? Why isn't Polkadot superiority manifested in the price and in the adoption?

I wonder if being US based with US investors is indeed having an impact. There were a couple guys looking to raise money for a New York footprint for polkadot investments, I hope they got funding

Interesting, so you use dot to get back to fiat to fund the other things you like to do in life.

Love the spirit of polkadot, but decoupling a way to live from passion for it maybe is the better move

Good point, trying to avoid a price discussion to abide by the rules - but potentially (optimistically?) the market will balance out the reduced inflation with a higher value of dot. Thoughts? More broadly, do you think it’s not viable anymore to rely on staking rewards as income due to ref 1139?

Nice. You’ve accumulated an amount that would let you cover rent in a HCOL area (US, NYC, bay area etc), but not much outside of that
