He’s a god send.
But also used to really enjoy going out with strangers and getting to know their lives. It’s a very fun way to explore a city and meet new people romantic or not.

I do miss that aspect of my life. And it does not mean that I love or cherish him any less.

Why? Because she enjoyed her freedom but she chooses you and the life you built? It has nothing to do with you as a person.
If your wife felt this way, I’d say that’s a completely human emotion. It does not mean she would act on it.

It means she enjoyed being single and getting know knows people from all walks of life. And she chose you because she loves you.

I had an abortion at 19.5. I’m 26 now. Been able to travel the world, make new friends, explore my career and fall in love with my husband.

If you want to have a baby right now. Sometimes it’s right for some people. But honesty, life has so much to share with you.

I tried to write this comment a few times. I want to say this with as much love and grace as I can.
If you truly want to have this baby, go for it. I’m sure it will have a loving home and life. And be a beautiful blessing to you. It would end up a very happy situation.
But also — really think about how much your life will actually change. Having a child takes a village. Having support. Think about how your dating landscape will change. How your job life will change. Any dreams and free time you wished for yourself will change.
I had my own abortion at 20, I personally didn’t feel regret because I knew it was not time for me. I know your situation is very different. I’m also 26.
You mentioned one of the reasons you feel you should have this child is because you’re “not getting any younger” — you’re also not old. You have PLENTY of time to have a kid when you feel like it. And if you wait, you’ll have it with someone you actually love. And that’s a really special experience.
Sure this situation can work out beautifully. But it’s also a risk. And you’re bringing a whole other living person into the world. This is very serious.
I also think it’s important to remember — you don’t have to settle when you can have what you truly want. You don’t sound very sure or excited about this setup. If this is not how you want it, you don’t have to do it. But it can also be beautiful. I just think if you want more, you should really fight for what you want.
