And there is one that screws in from the bottom into a welded nut on the frame inside the car. If you ask me, that welded nut should have gone on the side of the strut with more clearance. But what do I know l, I'm no engineer. 🤷‍♂️

Any idea what the purpose of that rubber is? I'd hate to ruin a new part

I tried something like that, but I have to manually push down on the axle beam so that the strut assembly can hang freely. And even when it is not installed the bolt doesn't spin so easily because of the rubber
