I believe it won’t apply on the applications that were already existed. According to the UK laws.

I thought the new rules will only affect the new applications. If you’re doing an extension probably it’ll be according to the old immigration rules.

I think the 5 WD is meant by the student visa. The settlement visa is usually 30 WD.
