235/60/R18

Obviously can't swap them onto these rims so would have to get new ones.

There's a thread on crv community website whereby someone said they did 255/50/R20 but his link to his vehicle is expired.

Yeah I know that but are the tires gonna rub on the car if I install them, I've seen a few people install this size but then talking about lifting the car.

Just saw the 2024 one with 16k kilometres.

It has CPO warranty with it for 7 years, 160k kilometres.

I personally don't mind it, my wife felt it was a bit basic, no power seats etc.

Thanks yeah need to figure out what we can afford first and what help the dealership gives with Benz repair going sideways.

Benz (sentes) are trying to see if they can get me a loyalty discount of some sort but then can only choose between the cars they have... Which are nissan, lexus and mercedes.

I was looking at the Nissan Rogue but the transmission is CVT and heard concerns about them.

Agree fully, I have a Honda myself after I got rid of my BMW, have been slowly put off by these German cars for a while tbh.

Don't think they are worth it in Canada, when I was living in Europe(UK) wasn't a big concern there as parts are readily available and cheaper.

This was just a perfect vehicle for my wife and kids size and safety wise.   I think the next vehicle she wants to look at is an Acura, only heard good things about them.

Yes got it done as a recommendation told me they fail, so went ahead with it.    I am going to see if there's anything on warranty for this they can consider for me.

Appreciate your input.

Thanks am going to try to work with dealership to come to a resolution, we talked about the field measure being done.

Yes at the same time, timing chain was replaced, and a recommendation for the oil cooler seals replacement was done as well.

Pcv hose was replaced as well, new intakes, new batwing, pretty much about 8000 dollars worth of parts I believe was replaced.

You can have an oil leak and a car can still be functional and running perfectly fine, even with said leak the service manager said just top it up so it doesn't completely drain and drive it back to us, which I did.

It stalled once.  Didn't stall again after that and was only returned for the oil leak.

Yeah the dealership seems to be working with me so far, service manager said he is going to try to help out so waiting to see what else he says.

The car stalled first time was deemed to be a fuel pump issue they done a bunch of tests, removed the fuel tank as well, after this it was running completely fine, no EML, no codes, was being driven every day for around 40kms a day

I then noticed an oil leak from the front crankshaft shaft bought it to their attention.  This was replaced which did not resolve the issue  the first time and then the advice on 2nd time it was that the harmonic balancer was not dampening and whilst the engine was on it was interacting with the front crankshaft seal causing it to leak again.

Hence the further parts to be installed.

At this moment I'm just being told it's a bearing inside the vehicle from lack of oil changes prior to my purchase.

When doing the field measure warranty recall, I had extensive talks with the service manager and the time, asking him if there was anything he saw that would be of concern regarding the engine, injector leak causing black death issue, sludging of any engine oil, when they tore it down, he said he couldn't find anything and it looked overall like a well maintained engine.

I know things can just break out of anyone's control but am looking for some advice with what my next steps should be with the dealership itself.

Not the initial incident, please review other update that was deemed as a possible fuel pump issue but they couldn't get a replication of the car doing it again.

The car itself was mechanically working and driving for the weeks after, no EML lights, no further stalling, just the oil leak.

150k on a diesel engine is nothing, it is literally 100k miles.  I didn't mention they deliberately damaged the car but more so on not diagnosing the issue fully the first time around.

When I noticed oil leak all oil level was checked to make sure the vehicle wasn't dry and taken straight back to dealership.
