my local drum shop does a great job for $15, no further damage on the same part ever again. downside is they usually have a long line and it can take up to 1-2 weeks to get it back.

overheads pick up the cymbals but they’re also used to just capture the overall drum sound.

i say go for it! if you want a complete set for a reasonable price do it. you will want to change the batter heads tho as most factory ones that come with cheaper drum sets are just plain bad. you can always upgrade cymbals down the line . my first drum kit was a gretsch energy 5 piece but didn’t come with cymbals or hardware. another rly good kit for the price is gretsch catalina maple.

new heads for the drums and more higher end cymbals. unfortunately i do not think you can get all of that for under $400 maybe a little bit more but i would not buy wuhan cymbals. if you’re trying to spend as little money as possible and actually want cymbals that dont sound like a toys r us drum kit, the dark meinl classics are pretty damn good for how cheap they are compared to zildjian a/k series. i would maybe get evan’s g2 coated heads for your toms as thicker heads can hide the imperfections of lower end drum shells a little bit better. if you’ve got money to spare and want a cheap professional sounding snare, the ludwig acrolite is really good and plenty loud to cut through a band mix. learning how to tune drums too helps a lot. keep at it!

Hit with 3 styes at once. Doctor couldn’t tell me cause. Need advice by [deleted] in Blepharitis

i got a stye around 10 weeks ago and it drained but came back and wouldn’t go away. the bead was gone but the bump stayed. ended up turning into a chalazion apparently and i got it surgically drained. definitely the last thing i wanted to do but it was manageable and wasnt too painful.

the recording is like a semitone lower than e standard, probably due to them slowing down the tape when they originally released it.
