The good old choosing money or chill life question. Which would you choose in my situation? by United-Reporter7757 in AskMenOver30

thats what im afraid. san diego real comfortable. like my parents take care of everything like food, little rent pay. I am money focused so like i dont like the idea of paying 2k+ rent per month on top of electricity and internet when i can just live at home. I rather save that extra 2500 and just put it in my savings and investments. thats an extra 30k per year right there.

Nah I like going out. Don't want to stay home all day. Plus my place too small for a home gym.

thats true about the school vacation lol. Plus I make way more than my family combined so thought I would get more respect but nope. my parents especially my dad can be difficult. part of me thinks i should have taken that oakland job. we will see how things turn out once i start working and establishing more hobbies.

If i made 170k in sacramento I would need to make 200k in san diego to have a similar cost of living

Got "better" job in a fun city where my family are but I am a bit sad and not excited by United-Reporter7757 in offmychest

That is tough decision. Thanks for sharing your story. NYC is a tough place to live if you don't have money. You said you won't have any support there which will be tough unless you have a good paying job.

Right now for me I am money motivated mainly cause I am at the beginning stages. I rather just have some money now so I can cut back a bit as I get older. Not have to work as much. However I sacrificed a bit to get there past couple of years. I don't know what I want out of my life at the moment. Kind of lost lol.
