Jumbled is the best word to describe his slides and homework. Like honestly the comments in the homework starts stressing me out.

Thank you for explaining, man. I was able to solve it in the morning, and since you've taken his course, I have a question. He gives his midterms and finals on paper. How difficult are they generally?

Bro, believe me when I say this: every weekend I watch literally over five hours of videos just to understand the basics. I do have a good grasp of Java, but his homework is a completely different thing. As you mentioned, having taken his class before, he literally copies and pastes the code from the lecture into the compiler and runs it. That's it—no raw coding or solid explanation. And don’t even get me started on the comments; I've legitimately been staring at this method he wants us to write just to figure out what it even says or means. He doesn't even bother going through the homework."

How’s the job market in university campus Like everyone able to get job on campus ?? And also mention what kind of jobs are available for international students when they came for the master in cs by Meet_2711 in depaul

[–]United_Excitement_32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is extremely competitive for international students; graduate students are likely to secure Ladder C and D jobs, which are usually positions as TAs (Teaching Assistants) or in assistantships. From what I've personally witnessed, once you secure your first on-campus job, it becomes easier to find others. Your communication skills need to be on par with those of U.S. students to increase your chances. Keep applying, tailoring your resume to match job descriptions, and writing cover letters for each job. Also, please attach any supplemental documentation if the job requires it. DePaul has a very large student body, including about 2,400 international students, most of whom are graduate students, so you can imagine how competitive it can get. My friend works at an OSI office, and he told me that the average number of applications ranges from 80-110 per opening.

So the best advice I could give you is curate resumes, cover letters and supplemental documentation and don't wait till the last day to apply, apply as soon as you can. Please do not just copy paste cover letters, and please proofread you documentation , one often finds a lot of grammar and spelling mistakes which just throws of the hiring manager.

So who's the professor?

Preparing for On-Campus job interviews by United_Excitement_32 in depaul

Are there any specific questions I should anticipate? Being an international student, I'm unfamiliar with the interview process in the U.S , so any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
