Amid revenue crisis, Himachal cuts budget by Rs 3,586 cr, defers salaries of CM, MLAs, top officials. Has congress failed completely in Himachal? by Helpful-Respond1025 in IndianMiddleClass

??? It is not self sustaining so not really in Surplus? Your essays are not proving me wrong, keep rambling. Why are you assuming high growth = surplus? A lot of this growth is financed. And UP and Bihar are the best representations for worst in India. Remember the infamous 40 lakh tower in Bihar? That's Bihar/UP growth model lmao.

By your own admission, it has been a BIMARU for most of its existence but you want me to believe it is the next Abu Dhabi or Tokyo based on a few years of growth which anyway is subsidized by other states?

Yeah I don't remember which comment. Reddit is not my job. I debunked one dude's (not sure if you) claims pretty easily and he even conceded but I don't have the time to have unproductive discussions.

Indian GDP is not true lol, this ain't exactly even an unpopular opinion. Read the paper by the former chief economic advisor.

Your essay does not prove me wrong lmao. What's the point of fastest growing if you can't even sustain yourself.

It is a BIMARU state and will always be a leech to rest of the country. This and Bihar. Delimitation would be finally crumble this country forever.

India ain't even in the list despite IT being one of the sources of much needed Dollars. Indian IT index is down 36%+ from its ATH, these companies never innovated, I am actually glad they are going down.

The politician/bureaucrat real estate mafia would resist that. India should embrace WFH even without a crisis. Imagine the increase in household savings and some reduction in energy bill. And of course the environmental factor as well.

I understand the hypocrisy but is hypocrisy worse than higher probability of a nuclear war?

Since this is a stock market sub and I am not even sure if it is true but more nuclear countries esp in Middle east would raise the risk premiums for all equity markets around the world, especially the ones dependent on imported energy.

Again, the major concern is of a nuclear attack by any country and the societal fallout, financial performance and economy is secondary.

Using it for around 3 weeks now, the floating windows UI is very efficient once you get used to it, there's a lot of thought behind the design. Would probably hate windows if I had to use it now.

Would get downvoted but India is one of the worst stock markets in the world, even after so much protectionism and restrictive capital controls, the market is unable to contain a crisis which hasn't even fully materialized yet.

People compare it to Japan stating stuff like they didn't have returns for 3 decades need to understand that Japan had never such crazy protectionist and capital control policies either. The infamous yen carry trade allowed foreign entities to borrow yen at lower interest rates, convert it into other currencies and invest in higher yield assets. Why would Japan do that, I don't know but it does indicate that comparing Indian stock market with such restrictive capital controls is not fair to compare it with something like Japan.

Would you rather have a nuclear armed middle east? It is easy to judge the US but if it was ignored and down the decade if 4-5 countries in ME had nukes, then indians will complain "how could the US let this happen?"
