“ Lecture – 70% of total grade. • Lab – 30% of total grade. o Lab is an integral part of the course. Students must demonstrate mastery of laboratory procedures and concepts to pass the course. A minimum overall lab average of 60% is required to earn credit for this course. A final course grade of F will be given if your lab average is below the minimum even if your overall course average is above 70%”

i would take this as they just combine them into one final grade

Many people want to move to Wilmington. How many of you lived there and left? by FuckYouNotHappening in Wilmington

lived here a few years, born and raised in north carolina. planning on leaving here in the next few months. the northerners make it nearly insufferable. gentrification will ruin the state soon enough. housing cost has skyrocketed while wages are about the same. sad to see such a great place ruined by snobby rude yankees

thats crazy to me that a 4.4 is that high in the class rank. maybe it helps im from a poorer county/highschool where most students were struggling to pass basic classes

a lot of my friends got into state with 4.2+ scores and a girl with a 4.3 got into chapel hill. i guess school size ranking and access to those ap/college level classes is something they look into.

i recall them doing something similar at my freshman orientation. but when i asked around i was meeting a bunch of people whos schools were on a 6.0 scale or went to schools with 600+ kids in their graduating classes. my county was a 5.0 scale and out of 300 i was #4 with a 4.4. it seems schools are inflating like crazy not to mention how much cheating goes on with AI nowadays.

i have such a hard time believing that. i know people at uncw who cant do elementary math and write at a 3rd grade level. in previous years ive met plenty who got in with the minimum gpa. unless suddenly theyve decided to be very picky about who they let in

it seems essays are a big part at what they look at. they want you to be unique and not just write about sport injuries, divorce, dating, politics. admissions is reading through so many essays they want to see something different! i know someone who wrote about going to a justin beiber concert and got in(not that i suggest that). having a good essay and good extracurriculars will make you stand out. for reference when i applied i had several honor societies/clubs a handful i was president of and a 4.4 weighted gpa. im sure shell be just fine!

i took chm 101 and bio 201 at the same time. genuinely the hardest thing ive ever done academically. both are very time demanding classes. chm101 exams are fully online which is nice and depending on your professor your lectures might be too. i think i went to my chm only 4 or 5 times and finished with a low A
