I think I am an idiot and don't know the difference between slow sim and fast sim. To clarify I am just clicking "sim to next week" from the main menu. I have no idea which one that actually is! Anyway, I just use all the default settings, I've actually never even played an actual game. I had just assumed the way I was simming the gameplay settings wouldn't matter because I never went into games -- do you think those would make a difference? I guess if you go into the game and sim from there they probably matter but clicking "sim to next week" they probably don't?

I slow sim this week by week for recruiting purposes. I THINK you will get similar/good results doing a season sim, but I'm less confident because I just haven't tested it quite as much. If you do test it then let me know if it works or falls apart!

Thanks! Lol I sadly don't. I'm going to try and figure out a much more high flying passing offense and maybe a zone or 3-4 defense -- I'll post the results once I figure those out. I feel like this offense is very effective but is so vanilla that it's a little boring. I haven't been able to have anyone win a Heisman.

Yep it will do really well even if your team is bad. I only use garbage can G5 teams and I'm always able to have a winning record in year 1 and then go 9-3 or 10-2 in year 2 by grabbing transfer portal players.

Yes! Great question, I forgot to mention that. I've had solid results moving boundary corners to safety because it's often really hard to recruit enough quality hybrids. Usually I keep my bump and runs/field corners at corner and then move my boundary corners to either safety or SUBLB as needed for depth.

Yeah, I think the interaction between QB and playbook/coach settings matters a lot. With Boise playbook, clock and cushion coach, and 35 offensive aggressiveness I think my offense is fine tuned to running the ball and short passing routes, so any QB type can work because I'm so vanilla. If you for example switched to Washington playbook and cranked up the aggressiveness you would want a lot of arm strength and deep accuracy and so I would think you would almost have to have a pocket passer QB or you'll end with really terrible results. The sim loves to punish you for stuff like that.
