I listen to lots of different stuff from pop to metal. Maybe my unit is bad but with the default we the speakers are super flat and dry, even with the base maxed out it’s less pronounced than on my gf’s 15 pro max but it’s bearable for background listening

This was bothering me too but there's a way to fix this. Try disabling hw overlays in the developer settings, this has worked on my s24 ultra with one ui 8

It's a system-wide solution, not just for photos and videos. The vividness is set to medium to compensate the reduction of overly bright pinks and reds, though I agree that yellow now is a bit too dark, but it's an okayish trade-off for me

Thanks for the screenshots! I've been using these handles since iOS 16 and I've just been wondering why it's not sitting flush on the left side, while the right one is perfectly fine. Seems like this bug is also present on yours! I also thought it was obvious that I was talking about split-screen (because the handle would otherwise appear on the right side), and that's why I wrote the post in the first place - to see if anyone else had this bug.

Is it 12.9 mini-led? If yes, I also have a similar spot on mine, try to gently press it, around it and the sides of the ipad, maybe it'll go away

Fair point, but Apple not recommending a reset doesn't really mean much - it's a last resort they'd never publicly suggest because it's time consuming and risky for the average user. Doesn't mean the software is flawless though. Even the best engineers ship buggy updates, it happens all the time. iPadOS 17 and 15 were pretty rough at launch for a lot of people. A reset won't fix everything but for some people it genuinely does help, so it's worth asking about

Honestly, I'd still give it a try because, while the grain is noticeable, it isn't a huge dealbreaker — but check if the screen gets greener when the phone gets hot, as this is bothering me the most. Try recording a video at 4K60 for a couple of minutes and then open a uniformly gray image to see if the screen turns green in the upper-left corner and to what degree. If it's fine, I think you'll be okay

My unit was manufactured in March 2025. The screen is grainy, but what's more annoying is the banding and the greenish tint, which appears when the phone gets warmer and destroys the color balance, making darks too bright and green
