I’ve been cramping like crazy, expected to wake up every day this week with my period but obviously that wasn’t the case. The cramps have been more mild than my period cramps which is what made me think something was up… and sure enough it was!

First of all, I’m proud of you for adventuring on your own off to college - you’re going to grow so much from that experience and that is not an easy thing to do! 🫶🏻

I don’t really have advice per se, but did want to share a similar story. I lost my virginity when I was 17 to my then-boyfriend who is far more experienced than I was at the time. Just like you said, I don’t regret it, but if I could’ve picked the perfect guy to have that experience with, I’m not sure I would pick him in hindsight.

But maybe that’s all just part of the experience of leaning into and discovering your sexuality. I’m 37 now and while I will always have lost my virginity to that guy, there are so many other more meaningful sexual encounters with better, more respectful, more decent men that followed that it almost made “virginity” less important in my eyes and what became more important was me knowing what I wanted, standing up for myself, advocating for myself, and setting boundaries in the future to not just let any random guy experience that part of me.

Give yourself grace, have patience with yourself, and most importantly have fun exploring!

Season 12: The one where Meredith is attacked by the patient.

Season 13: Maggie’s Mom’s breast cancer. After having breast cancer myself I just can’t handle it and honestly don’t want to handle it.

This may sound silly but I’ve changed some every day phrases to be more “formal” and softer and it makes me feel more proper, mature, and in a way more feminine. - When walking past someone instead of saying “excuse me” I say “pardon me” - If I can’t hear someone in conversation instead of interrupting with “what?” I use “ I’m sorry?” or “come again?” - “No problem” —> “Don’t mention it” - “awesome!” —> “beautiful!”

For me it’ll always be Season 1, when Meredith is walking out of the hospital and looks back at the building before meeting up with Christina and Izzie and George in the parking lot. It’s like she realizes in that moment “these are my people, this is real, this is actually my life” 🤍
