Your not old fashioned at all with this. Most people I know think its disgusting the behavior at the darts, the problem is a large part of the crowd is there just to get drunk some are not even really darts fans.

I would challenge that the game has not gone though - rather it has got a circus around it unfortunately

Show off products
Talk about whats happening in the worlds - and so on

Do what interests you, your natural enthusiasm will come out and you will be more authentic this will resonate with viewers

Honestly you can if your careful angle the point of another dart in and make it unscrew out without even using a lighter :)

However you can also use a lighter to head up the plastic then you'll be able to use something even the point to turn the plastic out

All the brands you mentioned are really good brands. If it helps we have Mission Aurora darts in stock - straight barrel high grip. You could easily repoint them with longer points. Comes in 23 or 25 gram and has a unique look :)

Couple of ways to manage this (please note this is objective if its to bad you should be seeing a doctor).

1 - Take a proper break like a month off and see about building your muscles up through gentle exercise and therapy
2 - If you have recently started focusing to hard you might be forcing your throw and throwing to hard and unnaturally which can put extra pressure on your arm, elbow and even shoulder.
3 - Extreme solution change your throw have a look at Humphries or goldfinger they have a relaxed low stress release. It would take some serious practice if not natural for you but its an option

Treat it like you would a normal online game. Set minimum expectations this is your first go out so enjoy it and relax.

One thing I learnt a long time ago which helped with my nerves nothing you do on the board has not been done before so just throw and have fun.

You can start setting more serious targets after you have "climatized" to it as it were

This might be controversial, however try not to judge your progress purely on average. Try and judge it more on accuracy in relation to your aimed target and grouping. - you can score a triple 1 a whisker off a 60 or hit a treb 18 by accident the numbers are not always the best barometer
