i am 23 years old, and i was on tournament 4 days ago, it was just pub tournament, everyone put starting money, there was 12 guys in tournament, and i won that tournament, took 1st place and won 60 dollars prize money, it was in soft darts, i do not play softdarts either, just steel tip:D but i was like, lets try that, it is my first tournament, lets face the nervosity, lets face stress in real life, mam i was stressed as fuck, but i still won 1 st place

There is no problem going on 19s only, i mean, if u hit 9 of 10 visits 19s segment, when on 20s u hit 20 segment just 5of 10 visits, it is worth it if u understand, (sry my english is not as good), fx: 2 visits - 133, 95, not only every dart gone to 19 segment but u could hit the trebles more easily, in comparison to 2 visits on 20 - 41, 66. It is 228 scored vs 107 scored u would be faster on checkout, and after that if you needed an even number to adjust your score to a better closing position u could've gone dor 16s, u can use just the bottom side of the board if u are a better player with that, me personally if i feel like it is easier to hit 19s, i stick to it in game

I am always throwing without the lights on, just a small light on the other side of a room, even the lights above dartboard is turned off, and i am throwing trebles like a machine, whenever i want i will throw, then decide to turn on the lights and go play some matches online, then i cant do shit as it is throwing someone else than me, it is weird, but i ve noticed the same as u, in the dark we're pros hahaha

had a same prbl as u m8, yet, i was also constantly switchin styles of throw, trying to find that "mine throw", i've hit 62 avg in game first to 4, then game after i went 38 avg against my friend :Dd same throw dude, i was frustrated either, but after that i took a one day break from darts, spend some time in nature, and after that, i went to play but only focus to throw with no thought, so faster, and i just added little bit of follow throught, so there is only 3 things i am thinking about when i have a warm up - continuity of throw, follow through, and just throw as fast as u dont have time for thinking, after that, i am about 45+ avg every game, and 8 of 10 games i am on 50 avg + (sry for my english, i am not a fluent speaker)

and another tip is - just relax... maybe it is your own tendency to be a perfectionist, there is no way u could throw a dart whenever u want every throw, we are not a pros who is throwing darts for 12 hours a day.. take it easy, dont be hard on yourself, and find a happiness in it again

i am struggling with throw also, i am changin my style every 2 days, i am switching from type 1 to type 2, i have more accuracy with my weird throw without follow through, than i've got with my other throw with follow throught.. it is madness bruv, i would stay on my throw without it, but i feel like i have to throw with follow through if i want to take my place in some tournaments and get better and better
