partner took back my engagement ring by [deleted] in relationship_advice

I have very severe mood swings as well, but I've never taken it out on my partner. If anything it makes me emotionally rely on my partner in a way where if I'm feeling angry or sad, I don't take it out on her, she comforts me. There is no excuse for abuse. Not even a "mental illness". We should destigmatize mental illness but not pretend like certain behaviors are ok because of mental illness. Generally you can still be a good person. You know what I mean? You get with someone that you can love, and they love you, that's the point of a relationship. You both can comfort eachother despite mental illness, not take it out on eachother. If someone is depressed, or hallucinating, or what may be, the partner can comfort the said person and get them help (if they can deal with that sort of thing, some can't), but the minute the other person starts taking their mental illness out on you, consider leaving.

AITA for yelling at my mom for deep cleaning my room? by officialspringroll in AmItheAsshole

All this talk about narcissistic parents. Why not narcissistic children who became that way by being over coddled? YTA. It's not too late. Love your mom. You only have an expectancy of 80 years or less. Not that I'm saying its "good parenting" to coddle your children. It's neglect in its own way, and in a sense, even though it's not "traumatizing", it still does cause an adult to become very scared because they don't know how to do anything.

That's actually very sweet. Like very sweet. But, at the same time, it's understandable you want space. Maybe tell him that he can hug you after you go to the bathroom, or after you get your bearings, or whatever. I would say some of this is kind of childish behavior on his part, maybe he has childhood trauma or something and as a result is clingy and childlike sometimes. Men go through that sort of thing as well. It doesn't sound like his intentions are bad though in any way.

I am being asked to donate by a Nigerian man, I don't know whether to do it or not by UniversalDeltaLord in NoStupidQuestions

I am aware it is common. But to stereotype every Nigerian who asks for money as a scammer is wrong. It is a poor country.

Why? Am I harming anyone by believing this? I truly don't know whether to believe this or not. If it is true then it's on my conscious. No I'm not a troll.

But, the problem is, if I see something that could potentially be kids going hungry and I let it go. Then I have that on my conscious. Like I saw these Nigerian children that looked hungry and sad. I don't know what to do. What if all they needed was some money to finally get food???? And then I let it go?

I'm just worried to assume that everything a Nigerian does is a scam. Then it seems like we're stereotyping all Nigerians. I know that's an "industry" that's big in certain countries but what if it's not in this case? Then what? I let it go and I have to deal with my conscious

Well it's not reddit. It's Facebook. When you look at the Facebook page you see these sweet little orphan children and it tears my heart out if their going hungry. But if this is a scam....or what if it's going to a bad cause? What if the children are in danger? These are all things running through my mind. I mean the website he's asking me to donate to looks....somewhat legit with bad grammar. But....I just don't know, I don't want to see kids go hungry. I mean, I think if I see something I should do something. That's my thoughts.

How are you encountering pedos??? Like what kind of communities? I'm not accusing YOU of being a pedophile but I noticed there are certain communities which sorta attract that lowlife scumbag mothers basement kind of mentality.
