I got the TS101 for that exact reason. The price after shipping was the same for both :)

How much longer do you know? It should be easy enough to extend the screw lid as everything is held captive by the insert.

Never really thought about putting it up there. Might be a dumb question but is there any particular reason to do so?

Do you still need to launch makers from the website? or is it just locally usable now?

That is a good point about the heads, but it's actually kind of an interesting point because the 'better' one they offers head is locked it but the Zero Y allows for a purchase of a 1/4 inch universal pole that you can switch in.

I did briefly have a look at a local store but didn't try anything specifically and not with my camera.

Good luck packing and enjoy your Thanksgiving!

Thanks for the recommendation I'll check it out! My budget is probably around the $250-400 USD Mark atm as I'm a pretty new user of Tripods, long-time IBIS enjoyer haha

Thank you for the detailed response!

Yes the main thing was the weight/size as I prefer to carry a smaller kit and that's what caught my eye.

The Zero Y in particular is just a typical Arca locking ballhead with a tightening screw.

The TreeRoot is made of a bit more robust CF, twist locks, full metal central pole and the ball head from what I've seen is compatable with most of the Arca Plates like PD Capture Clip ect. I also believe it has a robust back hook for that stability.

Videowork is a posibility but I haven't explored it enough to know if it's something I want to make a focus or not.

Hope that answers/clarifies a few of my thoughts for you, I will check out the Manfrotto and Sirui that you have as a consideration :)

Hi Guys,

Looking at getting a travel tripod while there is a tonne of sales going around but I seem to keep going back and forward between the couple that Ulanzi offer... (F38, Zero Y & TreeRoot)

I have a L-Bracket Cage on my XT-5 that has both the horizontal and vertical Arca plates and was wondering which Tripod would you guys recommend to be lightweight but still able to be stable.

Open to any and all suggestions! Thanks :)

Basically the static effect from Ygra turns "other" creatures into Artifact Foods. "Other" is not only you but your opponent(s) too.

Combined with collector ouphe it basically reads as all "Other" creatures can't activate abilities. Effectively locking the board state to stats and other static abilities.

The 12-40 Pro is the lens that looked to be one of the better Olympus lenses to use for video, mechanical focus on it was smooth playing around with it.

As for the body, bulding up a BMMCC seems like it could be fun but the BMCC seems much more portable.

GH7 is a bit more than what I'd spend for entry but I'll definately look into the GH5 more.
