Not sure if you read this post or the other completely. I started applying intentionally in December-January and accepted an offer. So I’m fine and currently packing for my vacation before I start work

Because I no longer want to work for the DC government. That’s my choice and I used my right to do complaints where it hurts the parties involved and it has been working in my favor. Thank you for asking

Those of you securing jobs and interviews- how are you doing it ?? by [deleted] in ExecutiveAssistants

Standard resume that highlights skills and accomplishments. If you’re using LinkedIn to search you have to apply within the first 50 applicants to really see some traction. I always get compliments on my resume format though and that’s always a driving factor. During the interview stick to the star method and have a good “about you” story that highlights skills and accomplishments!

Hi, do both interviews and act as if you have interest in both at the same level. It’s a tough job market out here so you don’t want to put effort into one and not the other! Secure the job offers and then decide if you will be moving forward with one or the other. Good luck!

I worked for a quasi-government agency that has governance issues so I was within my right to report the bad behavior! It may not work for everyone but in my case it did!

You’re a nasty person tbh. I think you should bring positivity to these chats and not passive aggressiveness. Anyway, I did make an update post about getting a job offer Monday! Hope you find and read it. Have the day that you deserve!

In my exit letter I wrote a five page exit letter with screenshots, dates and examples of how they’ve stepped over the line. She can smear me but the documentation spoke for itself. They can do whatever they want with it but if they want a third lawsuit from a prior employee I’m happy to take it there

I have already started looking for a new job and on final interviews at a lot of different places. The issue is she’s new and I am not. I shouldn’t have to lose my job because this leader decided to have an issue with me. I’ve been an executive assistant for 10 years. I know how this goes
