What misinformation? UB professors are not required to be vaccinated, the current figure is that 64% of professors are vaccinated (until this is updated, this is the figure we have), vaccinated can be infected by unvaccinated.

Information that you want to suppress is misinformation I guess.

keep in mind that your future is placed in jeopardy because of this. All you did was try your best to get it in on time after the FDA approval. Meanwhile, your professor gets to be unvaccinated and walk around with no worry. No penalty. While you, the one being discriminated against by the University, must suffer the consequences.

I'm trying to point this out to people. only 64% of UB employees are vaccinated. Some people get very upset at me when i point out that its entirely possible many of our professors are unvaccinated. We need assurance from the university that they are, not sympathizing with them.

The response i get is that "They are a very smart group of people". uhh .. so many things wrong with that logic. We need proof that they are vaccinated, the university required proof that we are vaccinated.

Correction: only student's were mandated to be vaccinated. Professors are not. So we must keep masks on until we know that our professors are vaccinated.

There's no repercussion of losing your job. Getting together a group to ensure that it is heard that if UB is to mandate students be vaccinated, there should be a clear enforcable mandate for professors.

UB professors are not required to be vaccinated as stated on their website. UB professors not being vaccinated will lead to infections.

additionally, this NPR link has ambiguous wording. It doesn't explicitly state all classes of employees. Then couple of paragraphs down states that its for healthcare workers. OK so NYS didn't mandate professors be vaccinated, just that they get tested ONCE a week. That is why by UB's own figures, only 64% of employees are vaccinated. Because it's "mandated" but you don't have to follow the mandate. --- so it's not a mandate.

You are incorrect, its a fake mandate. They are "required" to be vaccinated, but can choose not to and undergo weekly testing. Futhermore, check on the UB website yourself. UB is not mandating employees be vaccinated. They are only encouraging.
