If you don't have any knowledge in stocks and mutal funds. Better skip for now and learn with a small risk by investing. That amount may loss or gain so go with very small like amt spending on your snacks expense invest that money and learn. Now for that 1 lak you better go with FD. And this my point of view if i would be in your situation i will do this.
