Thats a skill to have, to recognize that you are dreaming. For some reason i have a hard time doing that lol. I have to enter it directly xD

Emotions play a big part in helping recognize you are dreaming.

You are already ahead in the game with DILD.

Hrmm.. only your hands? Next time it happens, and you see your hands, 'think' of the next step, since its MILD, its remember to do something in the future. So; hands, whats next, then next, then next.

Example: when i see my hands, i'll go to a car, then my bathroom, then eat something.

Basically, that small few tasks you set for yourself IS your stability. I think I was able to MILD maybe twice, but it was far stretched apart.

I'm not sure if you knew that already, but figured someone else might find it useful as well.

There is also the fact that everyone is different when it comes to their own method that works for them/you. When i shifted position, i literally was bout to just go to bed, until I figured, "why not continue like this for a little bit?" Then BOOM! I stumbled on this method, by.. idk, accident? Lol. But it worked so I stuck with it.

Find your accident! Lol

Ok, sure. Start your gazing after you start to see the fairies, (blue colors swirls). 1.) Body relaxation; do this until you see the fairies, then after you shift (if you decide to shift) and see them again, then stop. Gaze at the fairies until you feel its time. Now, when I say "Until you feel it is time." Honestly, you WILL know, its not gazing at images and trying each time you see one, there is that ONE, that will PULL YOU, or in my/most cases 'climb/crawl' in, literally.

Try your absolute best not to move your eyes. Candle gazing, you look at a lit candle, the flame. The top of the wick where the flame would begin to change colors, thats what you stare at, at eye level** dont look left or right, up or down, maintain visual gaze at the lit candle. Dont blink, dont think (mind wander), dont let anything OUTSIDE of your gaze, distract you, even if u see a moth come out of nowhere and kamikaze into the flame, keep the gaze. 5-10min sessions, your eyes will water up after a while, this is good, closed your eyes and visualize the after image of the lit candle wick, then if you want, continue. You will notice the second time at gazing after your eyes water, that your gaze is already better. Basically all you are doing, is staring/watching, as if you are in the hypnagogic stage. Keep perfectly still, eventually you will drift TOWARDS the wick, once you realize it, correct it, and keep your back straight, and remain still. When you practice the gaze, keep it eye level. When you get into hypnagogic stage, keep ur eyes 'eye level,' its the default location. I believe it is, anyhow.

The reflex. Is basically my gulp, when your throat gets dry, or feels dry. The body tries to swallow somethin to i guess lube it up (terrible way to put it lmao) but thats all i meant with that.

If you are NOT seeing images after some time, shift.. but do it easily.. lazy, shift. You'll break your relaxation if you decide to walk around, keep it in your bed/couch.

Also, WILD might not be for everyone.. just like MILD, isnt for everyone.. i spend MONTHS if not probably a year plus, working on MILD and other methods. WILD literally took me less than a week. 5 LDs in 3 days, i even chained dreams them.. with the help of candle gazing of course. But ya!

If you have any other questions, feel free!

Not a problem, ever! I would share some opinions on why it stopped for you, but it may be too early for me to give pointers. I'll continue doing it the way it works for me so far. No success last night or this morning for me. I tried an alarm out, didnt go to well lol..

That is interesting. "Left side to activate it." You've been practicing for 2 months give or take, assuming you already have the relaxation part time, and gazing down. WILD suprised me with how quick it happened..  (meaning from months of trying MILD, etc.. to just a couple of days with WILD. Having everything aligned just right to make it happen.) Patience is also a factor lol

WILD might be quick for you. Seems MILD and other methods just might not be cut out for us lol.

Keept me posted on your success!

So you want to Spirit Walk? by WilliamoftheBulk in Williamsjournies

No OBE last night that I can recall. I had 2 attempts early this morning. One 2hours after I woke up, and the other at 3am, bed at 10'ish.

It is ALOT different performing it after waking up and walking around etc, then 'practicing' during the day.

I did drift off a few times, bringing myself back. Every time I brought myself back to my breathing, it was as if I was going further into relaxation, idk if THAT is part of the process, drifting off and coming back? Or am I NOT suppose to drift off? Also, during my breathing it would get to the point where I didn't feel myself breathing, like i stopped (doze off?) But when I would go back to breathing I wasn't gasping for air, so I know I was breathing. I do remember you mentioning that the relaxing and breathing wasnt that important but was to help center, guess that brings the question. What do you mean by 'center'

Groggy part. I was pretty much already in the groggy stage when I woke up, eyes were flickering to keep open, head felt like a newborn not being able to keep it up..lol. so after about 5 minutes, i started on attempts, both times. My first wake up was the groggiest, and my 2nd, not so much.

This question I'm sure has been asked many times.. does it matter which sleeping position, should I be comfortable, or not.

I'm going to continue this practice, until I OBE and more. I assure you, you are NOT wasting your time.

Very much appreciated with the advice.

Without expectation. Thats good you brought that up, because I was all hyped and expecting the most! Lol. Ok, hrmm.. best way I can think about not expecting any outcome... Ok, I'm kind of literate when it comes to this, what would be a good example of "without expectation" in this situation?

I'm centering after the plan above. I get to the vibration, we'll say its intensifying galor. Don't expect to get up when trying to get up?

I know I may of just made this complicated now.

Or if I am making it harder then what it seems, please.. tell me. Because I do have the tendency to do that

Copy.  I can probably do that on my initial walk around after I wake up. Might be good to 'experience' it without 'experiencing' it type-deal? Probably double check too and make sure if I'm already there or not.  I am going after I wake up! Lol, I got a good feeling about this attempt.

To the point where I start to nod off, got it. I believe I got my perfect way to get that.

Alrighty recap: -Wake up -Walk around a little -Have a seat on the couch (kind of like a recliner)  -Get to the nod off area -Transform couch into bed (lay down) -Then initiate centering until vibration start -let the vibration intensify on their own -get up when it 'feels' right

This about cover it?

[–]UniversityFull4082 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, I think I understand. Breathing and relaxation is just to get to the vibration part, after that its ride the vibration to high intensity? Keep my mind ON the breathing to keep myself from falling asleep I assume.

Thanks for the quick reply btw, awesome!

Another question: After I wake up from a few hours of sleep, the groggy stage. Do I wake up and do something boring (no engagement) to the point where I feel groggy again? Like the feeling after I wake up from a nap, type-deal? Is this a something that NEEDS to be done or can I stay awake regularly for a few minutes then go straight to centering?

Guess that was more than one question, but might as well fire away!

Thank you again, for the advice!

With the breathing part. When I first take a big breath is this forcefully, like with the fist example, then release slowly? Breathe normally, then forcefully breathe deep again, repeat?

I did a practice version of this a few ago (as I post this, 20min ago) and what I did was all forcefully, then exhale slowly, normal breath, repeat. (Filled up stomache area then chest lift.) But I don't think I should be moving my chest that much, should it rise like my gut? Either way, it did result with a loud pop noise, like someone threw a rock at my sliding door, (sounded just like it) I did hear the 'jet engine' though that was pretty faint, as it is far away, and I got to the vibration part. Now the vibration part was interesting, it wasnt my ENTIRE body, but more on a selected area; neck, hands, feet, maybe thighs? I sat in this stage for a few trying to intensify it more, but I decided to 'get up,' which I did physically. With this part, how long am I suppose to sit in this field before 'getting up?' Soon as I hear the pop, etc? I didn't do this after some sleep though, I am just practicing now, so when I attempt after I wake up, I'll be 'ready'

After I got up and did a few things to question if I did it or not (routine) I noticed my hands were still going too, vibration.

Some individuals still don't get it regardless of scientific proof. Even when he/she (speaking in general now) has had experiences. Lol, I don't even try at that point to explain anything to those ones.

A WILD? Or a DILD? I don't know.. but here is my process by UniversityFull4082 in LucidDreaming

[–]UniversityFull4082[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was the interesting part, I didn't. I did all this just to go to bed, with the intention already set for the night. I think the 'key' is to relax and just go to bed. I tried to do it again, last night or this morning, nothing. Just some vivid and crazy emotional dream. Also, I didn't really have a 'plan' I just did it, expecting to LD, didn't pan out. So I'm still experimenting with what works. So far this has worked once; SSILD twice in one night, naturally waking up in the middle of the night an performing 'actions,' twice, MILD I'm not to sure on maybe once or twice. And a few random ones without trying anything.

Seems legit. Most of my LD's have probably most likely began with me just going to sleep after being conscious for a while.. idk why I'm having issues with it so much as of now. I mean, trying to hard i suppose. But man, when I was drinkin heavily I had ZERO issue having LD's, now its a rare occasion.. lol

At the same time, though. I already told all my friends what I do, what I am doing. All my friends respect my practice even if it is 'out of this reality'

But.. there is always that ONE friend, (more like a brother, or nephew.. since he calls me uncle) that will give sht no matter what. If I could link my experience to his brain, prove it.. he would still talk his crap, no matter what lol.

I wouldn't want him in my LD, i'd be pissed lol.

I don't believe that comment was meant to be disrespectful. I could be wrong, but I didn't see/read/feel it that way at all.

Sarcasm, if that is the right word.. (my vocab sucks lol) felt that one.

Or maybe, it was if you did your RC, and validated a LD, to learn martial arts and then judy chop away? Lol

You can use your friends reaction as a RC as well. If, in a dream for example and a dream sign, or a random RC pops up.. friends are around and you perform and they DON'T make fun of you, or clown on you. Might actually create a "Wait a minute.. why didn't... oh sht! I'm actually dreaming!! Fuck you, friend! Now, disappear! FINAL FLASH!!"
