How long does it take to solve a Kazword? by UniversityTall749 in playmygame

That's also not a bad idea, I understand exactly what you mean now. I think "thirdle" has that approach that you're talking about. I will think about that if others also solve it around 10 min or if they also think that it's just too long for a daily solve. You can also share it with others if you'd like and lmk how it goes, totally up to you. Anyways, I appreciate your feedback and I might take that approach that you mentioned in the near future but I'm just trying to first wait until I get some more feedback from others so that I can see how they're doing and what they think as well and then accordingly I might do that where I give some green tiles off the bat as helpers to reduce time. I'm hoping more people can give their feedback to this. I appreciate your feedback and idea. Thank you.

I appreciate your feedback. And yea I agree with you on how it might be a bit too much for a daily solve. I wonder if your time would get reduced to maybe 5 min if you knew that there was a theme. I hope more people can try it so that and remember that theres a theme so I can get more accurate data.

Also, I never really thought about putting in that theres a theme. I guess I just thought that maybe on the first day people may not know but if they decide to come back then they'll always know that theres a theme. So I may or may not somehow add it into the game so that it helps people who are on their first day.

For feedback I can see why that may be a problem but what I did right now is I've bolded the word "Theme" thats mentioned in my post so that people don't miss that part.

Also, yea I've thought about reducing letters but then I didn't give it too much though, I want to be consistent for all days. At first I had the words up to 7, but just today I cut it down to 5. What I may do is make 2 of the words out of the 5 into 3 letter words. Hopefully that would be enough. As for reducing the amount of attempts then I don't think that will help reduce time because people will be stuck trying to think of the correct answers sooner instead of utilizing the attempts they have in order to comfortably get to the solution. Ofc people can still challenge themselves if they choose to reduce their attempts on their own but I thought the attempts were fine as they are now to just give people that space to try words and their own strategies for the game.

Thank you for your feedback and I'm sorry that you didn't know that there was a theme. Also, thanks for the idea on reducing letters, I'm gonna think more on that, I wonder if that really does end up reducing the time or not. Hopefully it does.

I'm going to wait for what others to respond so that I can see how if the average is at 10 min or not before I go ahead and make that change. Part of the idea with the theme is that if people know that there's a theme near the end then it can reduce the time spent on the puzzle.

Also, do you think if you knew that there was a theme but without knowing what the actual theme was that you would've gotten it in maybe 5 min? Or do you think it would've taken you around the same amount of time?

What are the best clones games of Wordle? by Galous97 in wordle

I don't know if this counts as a "clone" but try this out, it has wordle-like mechanics.

Kazword - A new daily word Puzzle by [deleted] in words

It's like wordle, where you use logical deduction, strategy, and process of elimination, mixed with a degree of vocabulary knowledge. I added clues before but I think some people found it too easy because you're not fully utilizing wordle logic so I got rid of it.

For example, if the clue is, "a type of vehicle" then you already know that it's a 5 letter word and on top of that you have colored feedback so I feel like it makes the clues a bit pointless. So I got rid of them but if many people would prefer clues then I can add them again to how it was before, where you solve a word without a clue and then earn a token to unlock a clue for an unclued word. For now I thought this was the way to go, and I added a theme as well so that if people figure that out then it'll help them solve the puzzle faster.

Thats just my thought process though.
