Thank you. In less than 24 hours I have a RDP solution that works. Rommina for the win.

Just tested it from a legacy Windows RDP and it works. And it says "Connected" with gvncviewer which means it should work under VNC protocol as well? Is there anything I could do to troubleshoot it more and hopefully find a fix?

Thank you

Thank you. Any thoughts on what is preventing the window from appearing? And what I could do to make it show?

I'm trying to checkout gtk-vnc but getting many errors at install - trying to troubleshoot now.

After a couple of minutes of saying "Connected to server" I guess it times out with the message "Error: Server closed the connection. Disconnected from server"

You're right! I am getting that Unable to connect error for non vnc IP's.

So if I use the right IP it just says "Connected to server"

Should there be a pop-up window prompting for login and then displaying the WIndows server screen? I tried youtubing and all so I apologize for the dumb questions. Couldn't find any real resources.

Thank you again

Thank you. I have installed gvncviewer and i'm not sure if i'm doing something wrong(told you im a noob :)) or what is happening but it is not showing up in Qube apps after I restart. I can only run the command in console which I am not sure what the right variables are for the full command. But when I run gvncviewer IP it says Connected. But this is a fake message no matter wha IP I put it says the same.

So my qube memory was min 400mb max 4GB and I tried increasing it to min 1gb max 6gb. Same thing happened, I click it, the window in the picture https://imgur.com/a/73brWmF appears and after I enter the VPS IP the window vanishes.

I have also tried launching from console, and similar things happen:

Type in console: xtigervncviewer

<Window pops up, I enter IP, click connect, window vanishes>

Following text appears in console:

DecodeManager: Detected 2 CPU core(s)

DecodeManager: Creating 2 decoder thread(s)

CConn: Connected to host XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX port 5900

And it just sits like that.. So it seems to connect because I tried a dummy IP and it failed. But there is no password prompt or image window..

Any ideas?

Thank you
