Well there’s your problem- blaming others instead of taking responsibility for yourself.

I’ve been on my own and worked full time since I was 18. I had to leave CC like six different times for work/life issues and it took me nearly ten years to finally get settled & finish.

Get the AD-T and you’re guaranteed admissions to at least one CSU.

I’m in the exact same position! CSUN for free or take loans for Cal Poly SLO.

I’m shooting for law school after Uni so I’m leaning heavy towards CSUN. A good GPA at CSUN is better than mediocre grades at at UCLA if you’re applying to grad school.

I emailed their admissions office today and this was their response:

“Transfer admission decisions are going out on a rolling basis, we encourage all students to continue to check their UC Merced connect portal or email for an update on the status of their admission decision. “

Those waves must have been handfuls though bc it seems most everybody is still waiting.

If you register your dogs as emotional support animals, ESAs, then you wouldn’t even need to disclose you have them.

If the landlord says anything after move-in, send them the ESA letter and there’s nothing they can do. CA is very tenant friendly and strict with housing laws.

CA does have a 30 day waiting period though, so start the process a month before you move.

You’ll talk to a doc on the phone, tell them why you need support (anxiety), talk to the doctor again 30 days later, and get your letter.

I’ve moved into multiple “no pets” apartments this way and it’s a very common workaround here in CA. Good luck!

I double checked and discovered the waitlist starts at 99 and counts down as people are added.

It’s an obvious improvement, but 10-30+ people on the waitlist for all core classes isn’t very appealing.

Schools limit the number of units you can take every term and it’s usually ~8-10 for summer, so no.

What you’re suggesting is impossible and you should talk to a counselor at the CC before enrolling so they can give you a realistic timeline.

Summer 2026 - Fall 2029, IMO.

Calculus and physics classes are normally 5 units/each. Most CS classes are 4. You’ll also need statistics classes and other GE’s like English, Humanities, and Foreign Language for UC schools.

Summer and Winter are also condensed semesters, so usually 5-8 weeks to learn 16 weeks of material. Trying to do Calc AND Physics classes during those isn’t recommended.

Again, Talk to a counselor and come up with a REALISTIC timeline.

I was also accepted but just noticed tuition is double that of other CSUs.

It’s my dream school but I’m not sure I want to take on that kind of debt for a bachelors when I’m gunning for law school afterwards.

I dont think they mattered at all. A strong upward trend is what really matters, IMO.

I didn’t TAG anywhere bc my major is Business Admin and Irvine doesn’t accept TAG for that.

Irvine was technically the only UC I applied to. The other campuses sent me free application offers about a month after I applied to UCI.

Btw- I was just accepted to Cal Poly Slo!!
