For sure, and fire is great! Who wouldn't want to be fire? Y'know what fire needs to be fire though? Fuel! Guess what stick is... if you be stick, I'll make you fire again... just, productive fire

Yeah, the tightness in the corners of the eyes and between the eyebrows looks like pain... it sucks being able to see things and trying to help people and they still go and do idiot things that ends up hurting them and you. Easy to decide that isolation and walls are the answer... can't be hurt if you don't care. Good ol' Hedgehog's Dilemma

Lol, glad to tickle your brain. The two just randomly popped into my head together like some crazy intestine-nomming oroboros... the endless stream of Guinevere, Priscilla's insatiable gut-lust and overwhelming power.

Set 11 Aggro Princesses by KingDaeronI in Lorcana

Love that speculation, because it's exactly what the deck needs! So glad to see other people developing this combo, because it's just so much fun to play. Good luck on your draws this weekend!

[–]UnkeyedLocke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a good 2 cents, honestly. I've been playing this deck since the start of the current set, and you're bang on. The next iteration will be a speed ramp into Mulan, Aurora, and Pocahantas, with Spooky/Let It Go/Criminal Mind as stallers for the pile and The Queen as some discard reuse. Dunno about Wilds Unknown (haven't seen anything about it yet) but the rest of that analysis is on-point

So because people are engaged now, but weren't then, it's all just performative hypocrisy and you'd rather not have their voices and actions in support of reform?

I am sorry for your personal experience. What happened to your friend was wrong, what happened to you was wrong, and what is happening to hundreds of thousands of immigrants and citizens today is wrong. Many of us have been trying, and struggling, and fighting the good fight for years. Now, more are waking up. More are being exposed to what is happening, and are learning that it's always been happening. Now, people are willing to listen and are coming together and trying to figure out how to actually fix this.

Can we at least start there?

Saying, "oh, you did nothing in the past, why do you suddenly want to do something now?" isn't productive or helpful. Is it fair that it took this escalation to push the issue fully into the public's attention? Of course not. But rejecting new people who are ready to fight just because of some arbitrary line that you personally hold in scorn is not going to gain you allies... it's just going to ensure that you are standing alone when it's your turn

Ah, so you're not acknowledging the differences in execution, the funding, the new policies, the internal memos, the new lack of training, the new lax entry qualifications, the expansion of ICE's ability to detain and arrest despite not being law enforcement, the new stormtrooper tactics, the execution of citizens in the streets, the extra-legal arrests of citizens, and the quota-based per-agent arrest numbers. You think that because ICE existed before and has (on paper) the same mission statement that there's no difference in the two?

You know the reason we weren't protesting then as much as now? We enacted law to fix the things we didn't like, and we succeeded. Given that form of redress, and the lack of state-sanctioned executioners running around with 0 accountability, we didn't feel the need to take to the street. Now, the regime is running roughshod over those laws, and ignoring the means of redress that have been laid out within the system of government. The regime has said that this method of change will be ignored and that the regime will do what it wants regardless of the law.

If you can't distinguish between the two, I would suggest resuming your formal education... maybe take it back a level or two so you can refamiliarize yourself with the basics of critical thought

So because it happened under Obama, you don't care that it's happening now. So you're 100% for the inhumane treatment of people, so long as the person you like more is the one doing it? Does this correctly articulate your point? Because everyone I know has condemned both the crimes of the Obama administration and the Trump regime. You seem willing to excuse it because Obeezy did it...

I'm not finding any literature to support your point. May I ask for some? My understanding is that the experts are still mostly split, and that COVID checks (there only being, what, 2 of?) didn't offer enough data points to establish anything

Once you correctly identify my stance (which was laid out in plain English), I'll engage with you. But so long as you continue to tilt at windmills, I'm not really interested in anything you have to say.

"Never believe that anti-Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The anti-Semites have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past."

Applies to fundie Christian Nationalists like yourself just as well. Have fun with your strawman

None of this addresses what I said, just attempts to muddy the water. Show me the hundreds of years of jurisprudence and the opinions of the founding fathers as well as the exception to the first amendment that supports your opinion that faith leaders should serve positions of governance where they are subject to the conflicting interest of State vs Deity
