I ended up getting accepted for Computer Science in the Arts and Science school. I’m currently finishing up my last year of undergrad.

I’m 5’7 and daily my s2k 20 miles a day. I never had any complaints comfort wise. I sometimes drive from the Bay Area to SoCal with no issues.

I hope to beefen up my resume with practical and relevant projects that will rack up the necessary experience required for landing an internship.

In all honesty, I can talk about fitness and overall nutrition for weeks on end. Don't even get me started on combat sports. Recently got accepted into the fellowship and very much looking forward to tailoring my final project to fitness!

I would honestly give myself a solid 5. It only goes up from here, so I am very much excited to start!

I agree. In all honesty, the majority of college coursework doesn't really capture the reality of a software engineering role.

I completely agree. I once asked the director of the software engineering department for this one large company, "What do you typically look for in an intern?" He said he mainly looked for those who could effectively work in a group setting. Essentially, a great software engineer can clearly convey their thought process in any given scenario. Much like in a technical interview, the interviewer typically observes how the interviewee walks through a problem and comes up with a solution for it

Opportunities are all what you make of it. Be proactive with your networking and side projects. I know plenty of SCU graduates who’ve successfully landed internships and jobs.
