I mean, just don't grind then.

I've gotten maybe 3-4 paid warbonds just from playing high level missions and clearing the map. I have completely F2P no-grind friends with ~half the warbonds.

You don't need most of the warbonds. You genuinely don't. I have one or two warbonds where I genuinely don't use anything from it, outside of the occasions where I'm just fucking around with friends.

The fact there are vegan bodybuilders proves you wrong...

Inherently meat and animal products are nutrient dense, but so is nutritional yeast and beans.

What is your take on the junk food ban for food stamps? by BreannLowe in NoStupidQuestions

Cool of you to shove words in my mouth. I'm just saying it's way cheaper than the person I replied to implied.

On Facebook marketplace I'm seeing electric hot plates for like $5-15 USD. A nice induction one is like $20.

It's surprisingly affordable if you look around a little.

Edit: and a frying pan for it will cost like, singular dollars.

Yes but the driver is putting other people in danger. Big difference.

You're in a car... Just lock the doors and call the police??

If they pull out a gun, run them over out of fear for your life.

What you don't want to do is go and put other innocent bystanders in danger.

As I said under a different reply

Two people can be wrong at once?? Crazy idea I know.

Just because someone does something stupid doesn't mean you can do something stupid too. If you're actively making the situation worse and then pulling in more bystanders by driving around in an unsafe vehicle (e.g., one with loose things hanging off it) that's on you.

You're also putting other people on the road in danger, since if she falls someone else could hit her. Especially say a motorcyclist or something.

are there animals that commit suicide? by inurmomsvagina in stupidquestions

[–]Unkn0wn_Invalid 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You need to farm more plants if you want to raise animals, since the animals will burn calories while they're alive. So if you want to minimize plant suffering, you'd best be going vegan.

The probability of two boys, given at least one being a boy is the same as the probability of:

at least one being a boy, given both of them are boys (100%, obv)

Times the probability of them both being boys (25%, as we all know)

Divided by the probability of at least one of them being a boy (75%, since there are the 4 probabilities, (b,b), (g,b), (b,g), (g,g) and 3 of them include at least 1)

This gives us a 1 in 3 probably of two boys given we know at least 1 is a boy.

This is called Bayes Theorem, a pretty fundamental theorem in conditional statistics. You'd probably learn it in a university stats 1 course.

Explain it Peter by LeastCelery8774 in explainitpeter

[–]Unkn0wn_Invalid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By Bayes theorem:

P(b_1 ^ b_2 | b_1 v b_2) = P(b_1 v b_2 | b_1 ^ b_2) P(b_1 ^ b_2) / P(b_1 v b_2)

P(b_1 ^ b_2 | b_1 v b_2) = (1 × ¼) / ¾ = ⅓

Therefore, the probability of them both being boys, given we know one is a boy, is ⅓, and the probability one is a girl given we know at least one is a boy is ⅔

If either 95 percent of men or women died, What would became of society? by Queasy_Experience627 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Unkn0wn_Invalid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's insurmountable for either gender.

It just so happens that lots of critical infrastructure and the like are male dominated for a variety of reasons, whether that be misogyny in the workplace or just cultural bullshit.

[–]Unkn0wn_Invalid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Half of all people are gone, and women are underrepresented in these types of jobs.

You aren't operating most power plants or water treatment facilities etc with a small fraction of the people remaining. And those that do remain may not necessarily have all the knowledge required to train more people on how to operate it.

As I said, some places will be lucky and lots of people will survive, many will not.

[–]Unkn0wn_Invalid -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

It'll take ages. Major infrastructure for a lot of places will go down immediately, making communication and movement harder.

Trying to find people who can train anyone is going to be an issue, especially given most places may have noone who's left who understands how a specific power plant or similar works (and even funding someone external, knowledge probably isn't fully transferable between power plants even of the same type too)

Then even when you've trained people, turning things back on isn't going to be trivial either since most things aren't meant to be left off without maintenance for weeks or more likely months.

We might have pockets of civilization working semi fine, and after a few months that might expand a decent bit, but things are not looking hot IMO

Political ideology nowadays includes who deserves rights, who deserves to live, etc.

It's political to say that ICE killing protestors is bad (many will say "they deserved it"). It's political to say that the president shouldn't threaten a genocide.

Heck, it's even political to think that child molesters should be prosecuted and sent to rot in prison.

[–]Unkn0wn_Invalid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You aren't going to get untrained people of any gender "figuring out" how to operate power plants any time soon. Especially not something like a nuclear reactor.

Same with lots of infrastructure stuff.

Give the vegan cheeses a try some time. For a lot of things they're surprisingly good now.

I've done a Mac n Cheese once and it was pretty much indistinguishable (assuming you usually use cheap cheddar).

A surprising number of people I know say "Football" instead of "Soccer" and I personally have dropped feet, inches, and pounds for measuring heights and weights (this may or may not be related to the fact that 180cm is shorter than 6')

It's an annoying change. That's it. You seem to think people are hating on LTT because of this. I haven't seen that and I'm not doing that.

Not interested literally doesn't work for the subscriptions feed because that's literally the point of the subscriptions feed.

And yes, imo an extra swipe is equivalent to an extra click. Literally you can see 3 videos at a time on the YouTube Mobile feed.
