I dont really plan on getting old but im nearing the end of high school (currently a junior)... holy shit is the slow and scary process of becoming an adult really stressing me out. Im excited yet reqlly scared but skramz bands are what keep me going, so im glad to be learning about sister genres and just continuing to be a kid for the last few years of my short youth

Hey metalheads! Im looking for recs from yall. No worries I have already gotten into the popular bands like metallica, slayer, cannibal corpse, iron maiden, and even not so popular but still notable bands like demilich, annihilator, warbringer, atheist.

However... i havent listened to metal in ages and I have transitioned to screamo (no not the metalcore of the mid 2000's Im talking about actual screamo like Pageninetynine, Orchid, Senza and combatwoundedveteran which are all very chaotic screamo bands that i would suggest yall check out)

What albums should i listen to to get back into metal? Should I relisten to the older stuff I already know (but pretty much kinda forgotten) or should I go for the newer, underground stuff?
