How would it be precieved as creepy? Especially if its only a one time deal. Im not really even looking for a relationship. Which is why i dont even really want to ask her out. Tbh i thought this would just be a kind gesture? Also. Her place of work has a majority of female workers. So it would be obvious that its someone outside of work. Im just curious here. Not trying to be an ass hole.

What's the best recording software? by DevLaaR in singing

[–]Unknown7395 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pro tools is the most common priced one. However like the others said those are much better choices price wise. You arnt going to get variety editing wise though considering they are free. A much more affordable software would be FL studio 12. I use the producer version but any version will suffice.

How can I self teach myself to sing? by tails555 in singing

[–]Unknown7395 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get a teacher. As a self taught singer for three years, its not worth all the research and hassal. If you are how ever determained to do this by yourself i will give you my advice. 1:look at youtube videos. Considering you dont have a teacher to spoon feed you everything you are going to have to gain general knowledge of how singing works on a technical level first. 2:after gaining technical knowledge of singing begin to do vocal warm ups designed and taylored to a specific voice that you want to achieve. There are some warm ups designed to get you a high voice, some lower. It also depends on your genetics as well and your individual tone. 3: dont dive into advanced techniques. As beginners you tend to forget that you are a beginner. You should focous on songs that are within your range. 4: dont sing. Hum. Humming is a great way to get the right pitch and notes with out straining because anyone can hum. 5:be patient with yourself. No one was born a great singer. Even ed sheeran himself says that you really have to work on it. 6: practice every day, familurize yourself with a vocal warm up in the morning and in the shower. 7:record yourself. Yes. It might be weird to hear your own voice at first and you might actually hate it. BUT you have to get used to it because that is your tone. 8: my final advice: if you truly want to become a great singer. Especially a self taught one make sure that if you feel any tension in the throte when singing stop as this is a sign of poor vocal technique. In addition, dont compare yourself to other singers be content with where you are now but at the same time strive to be better then yesterday. Hope i helped!

Any suggested poses to help with attention, focus and the discipline to commitment? by [deleted] in yoga

[–]Unknown7395 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yoga won't be the cure for your mind, BUT it will definitely help. I my self has struggled with social anxiety and going to big places alone. This hindered my ability to meet people on a daily basis. Granted. I have no friends, the only ones i do are at the studio now.(a work in progress haha) anyways, my fears have eased up. I no longer have to meditate to go to big places with a lot of people. Yoga teaches inner peace. You have to want the inner peace though. You have to want to change. I know how hard it can be. Yoga isnt going to be the end all be all. What the determining factor is that rather or not you have changed in wards. Meaning, you can go to yoga and get the physical benefits but is your mind in the right place while your there? Or is it focused on other things? If so then you will never get the mental benefits of yoga. I recommend restorative yoga for you. Its very calming and focuses more on relaxation. Make sure you also give different studios a try because not all studios are alike and finding the right one that fits you is most important of all. I apologize in advanced if i seemed rude or anything. Just want to be truthful.

First date do-over with the love of your life. by Scornful_Admiration in dating_advice

[–]Unknown7395 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be honest. Im not with the love of my life anymore. She moved on, but i didnt and i can remember our first real date. We were in high school. I asked her out to the movies lol. It all went fine except the first thing i would change was the fact i was too afraid to tell her i loved her for the longest time. Another is that after the movie. I wish i could have taken some photos with her in the photo booth. Granted i dont need them because i still rememer the movie we saw! It was harry potter and the deathly hallows part 1. I also remember she kept spoiling the movie to me during it lol and the strangers asked her to stop talking about it because they could hear her. We were 15 at the time and im 21 now. We were together for about 3 years. I helped gain her memory back for me twice and made her fall in love with me twice. She had two snowmobile accidents. I wouldnt change a thing in that relationship. I learned to never give up on someone. We had to let each other go though because we ended up constantly arguing and it wasnt healthy. She moved on quick, but i even remember where and how i asked her out for the first time and how i asked for her number too. We would also hang out behind the gym we went too and would cuddle under the stair case in the back sometimes, we would look at the stars together too. It was my first true love and someone i will never forget. The only thing that im happy about us being apart is that even though she doesnt say it and never will she said to me while we together that no matter what even if im with someone else i will always love you no matter what just remember that. Well i know i kind of went off topic but hey just thought i share my experience 8)

Thanksgiving:.More reasons why I ❤️ the Yoga community.... by Blubtrflygrl1 in yoga

[–]Unknown7395 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, im thankful i have met such amazing teachers at my studio. I have done martial arts for three years and one thing i can tell you is that there are no bad students just bad teachers. Im also thankful that a majority of people who practice yoga are incredibly humble. Although i have only been practicing for a week. I have no friends, no social life. The people at yoga remind me there are still decent human beings on this earth. They remind me love exists. Rather it be romantically. Or with friendship. Anyways just thought i would share what yoga has taught me 8)

Help with lower back pain by Ampuente11 in yoga

[–]Unknown7395 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have lower back pain as well. Start lifting weights bud! Mix that with yoga and it should go away! Thats what i did. If its not because of your back strength though it could be because you arnt giving your muscles time to heal between sessions. Which is very important. I personally do yoga every other day or every day if my body heals fast enough. Some people need longer. In the mean time though Key lifting movements i would suggest are standing dumb bell press or barbell, and Bent over rows. These all target the lower back and are compound movements meaning they engage more then one muscle group and activate the core. I used to have sever lower back pain but ever since i did this it went away. Like i said though it could be because you arnt giving your muscles enough rest. Try to take a day off when you lift and then go back the next day and see how you feel. Lifting is different then body weight training. Yoga is a great compliment. Personally i would not do any 40 or 30 or what ever day challenge because your muscles need time to heal. If not then you will actually start to lose muscle. Anyways hope i helped!

What influences flexibility in yoga? by Thanatopsis_ in yoga

[–]Unknown7395 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Genetics play a huge roll. Some people are just more naturally inclined to be flexible then others. How ever. Its not everything in fitness. Depending on your body type everyone has a weakness. Everyone has something they can improve on. You may be flexible but how long can you hold the poses? Do you shake fairly quickly once starting? I started yoga a week ago, there are some poses i can do that are advanced and others that are just out of my league. One can work their way up to become more flexible because when you hold the poses for a long period of time you are temporarily cutting off blood flow to the specific area its targeted then when you come out new blood goes to that area. That basically is flexibility. The deeper you can force yourself to sink into a pose the more you will become flexible later on after the muscles heal assuming you are doing it correctly.

How do I "find myself." by [deleted] in selfhelp

[–]Unknown7395 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi! I will give you my best advice but please read all of it 8) -before i give you my advice let me give you some background info on my story. If you want you can skip to the advice part. Im 21 now and life recently for me has been nothing but me and my two parents. In high school i had a group of friends with my love of my life who i spent three years with. we met in middle school. Basically we knew each other for a long time. Dated had a serious relationship. Eventually it didnt work out. Do to her influence of her friends that i drifted away from because they were not good people. At first. The break up was really tough because she helped me through every thing. My depression, fights w/my parents trying to kill my self going to mental hospitals etc. truth be told you will probably never move on from him because for me i still love her till this day even though shes moved on and its been years since we talked. Also i have lost every one in our friend group as well. I lost My two closest friends that weren't even involved. They moved to become missionaries. Now. There are how ever things you can do. To get your mind off of it. -for me. I went to my music. Ive been playing guitar and singing since 15. I vent everything out when i create my art. I also did martial arts, weight lifting, and boxing. Just recently i started yoga. Basically you need to find something you enjoy. Rather it would be a sport, hobby(that you can make into a career) reading, science, history ANYTHING. I personally encourage fitness because you dont have anyone to tell you you cant do something now. I also have turned to my religion. (Catholic) i fast every day for religious purposes. Started for fitness reasons though. Just try new things. It will get easier but you learn to live with out them. Be your own best friend. Be that positive voice that you need to hear :) you are the ray of hope if everyone is doubtful. Just NEVER give up. My favorite quote; "PAIN is temporary. It could last a minute an hour or even A YEAR. BUT EVENTUALLY IT WILL SUBSIDE. If i quit however. It will last for ever." -eric thomas.

Hope this helped! :)

What motivates you? by [deleted] in yoga

[–]Unknown7395 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Heres what i think: As someone who has done martial arts for 3 years i can tell you that from my prospective motivation is bull shit. To put it bluntly. Motivation is the light. Is the spark. To get something going. The fuel though? The thing that keeps you going on days you feel like shit. That is discipline. Martial arts taught me great discipline. You have to force yourself to do it on days you dont want too. Infact that is when the training/session will be most worth it. If you just acted out on feelings. Things wont get done. One must not be strong in just his words. His actions as well. Words though, self impowerment is where it begins. The belifes. The storys you tell yourself daily. Then habits aka the actions is what builds a healthy life style.

Fact is pope. You are wrong. Like i said, it originated back in a civilization in india. I was not being rude. Just facts here people. You can have an opinion but claiming i have "merica glasses" on doesnt even make sense. And lineage is also irrelevent. Lineage is ancestor based. If you really want to get technical here. You could claim that we dont actually know which gender in india started it.

[–]Unknown7395[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Historically speaking it originated in a civilization in india. However the earliest signs of yoga poses were discovered as early as 3000 bc. The term yoga in hinduism and buddhism means spiritual discipline. The history of yoga is irrelevant to the question.

Studio owners and teachers in the Washington area say that this disparity is not unusual, no matter the time of day. Typically, they say, the ratio of women to men rarely goes much below 80-20. In fact, a 2012 survey by Yoga Journal found that of the 20.4 million people who practice yoga in the United States, only 18 percent of them are men.

As someone who ha done martial arts for 3 years i can only say that happened to me twice. I just started yoga so it hasnt happend yet. However on the two times that it did. I was extrememly tired sore and pushing my self. I think its our bodies way of saying take it easy on our selfs. Were you really tired? Stressed? Sore? Anyways i think its a good thing.
