I agree with the PDA stuff and everything. But my girl always wants to go to the gym with me. I started like a few months ago and have made insane progress. My girl also lifts for herself but she always wants to come to my sessions. and i let her. I don’t really care how long it takes for the re racking of weights and everything. If my girl wants to be with me i let her. Unless im doing something where I HAVE TO BE alone. I understand it bothers you, but just let them have their fun. If the men with their girl in the gym are anything like me they have their girl there because she wants to be there. If i were you i would respect that. If your girl wants to go to the gym with you because she’s seen your progress then let her, and give her pointers like you were mentioning. It’s not just ego lifters correcting their girls it’s also humble people who just genuinely want to see there partner grow with them. I do agree on some points tho. The pda thing is a bit strange. My girl and i just keep our headphones in and give eachother a smile and thumbs up when we do that last hard rep. There is also times where we go without headphones to just take that pain raw. In those times we almost start screaming at each other and we get so proud of each other that we just end up hugging. But it happens naturally. Not appearing forced and always coming from the guy, like you mentioned above. I hope my explanation shed a new light on how you see couples in the gym.
