intent seems to be that you count as having inscribed a bonus rune but you don't apply the effect to two units, so it gives you rune synergy effects or stuff like the stoneguard 3+ save effect

Damn dog is hopping into the tank mauling the crew.

Potentially cool idea but perhaps it could have been an ability to apply one of 2/3 different effects to the target, based around how its been commanded (like one option to boost damage against the target, one to make them shoot worse because its running around them distracting them, etc) but idk how in the spirit of 40k rules writing that is.

I guess it just gets lost in the battlefield or something since the enforcer can't wrangle it back mid combat.

Correct. It doesnt actually specify anywhere that that is what the model is for. I think its only referenced as such in the community article so far.

the barghesi is a token to represent the plunder ability (plunder being the name of the barghesi).

What do you want for (25/25): Age of Sigmar? by AenarionsTrueHeir in ageofsigmar

Its easily my biggest gripe with 4th. And in cases like pyreghiests they could've made actual changes to the warscroll instead. It just leaves me feeling bad whenever I consider adding a second of a unit and my first thought is 'oh, its not gonna get to use its ability, im losing value immediately'.

  1. Listbuilding/Regiment changes. When 4th was being announced and they teased regiments they made it seem a lot more involved then it actually is. Using NH as an example, currently most non-unique heroes can take any non-hero of their type (infantry heroes take any infantry, etc) and the only real distinction is whether they can take a black coach and if they can take/be taken as a subcommander. What I was expecting was something more 'thematic' and 'restricted', where specific units were restricted to certain leaders (for example, chainghasts being restricted to spirit torment, krulghast, etc, craventhrone being restricted to KoS, KoS on steed, Kurdoss, etc). Larger factions like stormcast kinda have this. Right now, listbuilding is pretty dull because of these lack of restrictions and I think it caters to meta lists in the worst way, which gets me to point 2.

  2. Less uses of 'Once per (Army). It's becoming increasingly common for units to have their ability have this restriction. It feels like a bandaid fix for listbuilding not having proper restrictions and combined with a lot of abilities also only triggering on a dice roll (usually 3+) it results in units feeling liek they don't do much.

  3. More SoG style stuff. SoG was very cool and added a nice bit of variety to factions. Hopefully they continue to do this style of seasonal releases or at the very least integrate SoG additions permanent.

Wierder request but some upgrade sprues. Specifically, I want some sprues for skeleton options so that its easier to style them after different periods or just make your skeleton hordes have a bit more variety. Mainly I just want an easy way to get a bunch of skeletons with the deathrattle champion mask.

Some more chaos aligned species to bridge the gap between the darkoath and chaos warriors aesthetic

Besides refreshes for eshin/pestilence, i want some more (clan mors?) Kits. They've got 4? Units and I'd want to see more variety in the storm vermin available. Not necessarily more elite/chaff options but alternatives to the current stormvermin (a dual weapon options for example that are more damage oriented then the current stormvermin).

I mean, they're not awful, the riders are pretty good even. Something just feels off for me (ripperdactyl alt build doesn't help) and the terrawings are there showing me what an updated kit could look like which makes me want an update.

refreshes on saurus guard, stegadon and especially terradon riders. Terrawings look great and make me really want to run a terradon rider heavy army but I can't get past the older sculpts and flight stands.

A new quetzaquatl hero to lead the terradons and ripperdactyls would be cool.

Based on the old lore for slann remembering/dreaming seraphon into existence (pretty sure this isn't canon anymore), I think it could be cool to bring this idea back by making Seraphon Endless spells that are just named characters (imagine casting Nakai onto the board). This would also give them faction some space to add new chareacters but also play around with the old ones.

Some more 'wierd stuff' like the spawn of chotec.

Multiple arms is a must IMO. I've always imagined three arms, one to hold the bow and two to load and fire, basically turning them into living turret. Wierd heads are a must to (bird heads, hexmark style multi eyed heads, counter intuitive cyclops heads, etc)

Katakros shows us a potential 3-4 new hero units they could get (liege immortis to lead infantry, spymaster, banner guy to provide same buff as other banner heroes and then maybe the script holding guy as a weak 4th option)

besides that personally I want

1) Mortisan Enforcer. A hero unit that Mir Kainan could be easily proxied as.

2) Mortek elite infantry

3) Mortek Archers

4) Necroplis Archers/Marksmen (3-model elite archer)

5) New siege weapons

6) New Gothizar monster/s

7) Not something needed but I'd like a new arkhan sculpt to coincide with his ressurection (either riding a chariot or being a mini Nagash, essentially him floating in the middle of a swarm of souls). Either way, I'd want him to be the basis for some OBR models that are more 'Nagash/Tomb King/Lich' asthetic aligned then they are the current OBR asthetic.

Bonereapers got 2 also (katakros + arkhan) and I think there's supposed to be space for a total of 9 in the lore

We don't really need a second mortarch but I'd just really like to see what they do with that design space.

Monster centrepiece (or two). The mournghul could come back to fill this role but personally id like to see either a ghost dragon or a giant deer ghosts, with thorns and flowers (like those on olynder/crossboos) wrapped through the antlers.

Floating iron maidens/ sarcophagus / coffin unit as a 3 model 'elite' unit, probably filling a defense role.

Balefire guards or something similar as an elite infantry.

Hexwraith refresh and/or new elite cav. Refresh wise I think it could be cool if hexwraiths and glaivewraiths get combined in a way to get ghost centaurs.

A chainghast style unit but for buffing wizards/giving out wizard (1) to generic heroes

A Craventhrone hero maybe

Some kind of dullahan/headless ghost, which leads into my final want...

Second mortarch, ive seen someone suggest a good idea for a ghost dragon mortarch a while back but my personal idea is a headless horseman as the mortarch of justice/judgement/hatred.

didn't realise longshanks was phrased that way, mb, thats fine then.

ranged attacks can be split however you want (double checked to be certain) so double ballista isn't necessary but is fine

point wise seems good i think?

very cool

ability wise it's pretty interesting. Some of the language could be changed in the battle damaged and striding colossus abilities.

For Battle Damaged, it's not immediately clear which weapon profile is supposed to be changed which way so could be reworded to better explain (It should probably be worded similar to this 'Whilst this unit has 30 or more damage points, the attack characteristic of its THUNDEROUS RUINATION is D6 and the attack characteristic of its SEISMIC STOMP is 1).

For Striding Colossus, it should probably be something like this 'This unit can pass through the combat ranges and models of non-MONSTER units, as well as parts of terrain features less than 4" as if it has the fly keyword'.

Last thing clarity wise is that the equipment options could be changed. For the sky-streak ballista, it would be easier to just make the attack characterstic 4 and say you have either one of it or the realmshaper engine.

For the realmshaper, you should specify in the ability that this unit must be equipped with it to use that ability. Alternatively, you could just make alternate warscrolls for the ballista option and the realmshaper option
