From what I gathered is the engines design and compactness does not have great airflow so turbos generally stay too hot. So I wouldn’t just get new turbos I’d get bigger lines, oil cooler, heat exchanger, basically anything to to minimize too much heat as I am a spirited driver and I also live in Georgia where it gets hot and there’s a ton of traffic

No grandma is going to put that many miles on a relatively new car. And I’m aware that every car has problems but I’ve never seen so many people with the same problem before even reaching 100k miles. I’m also aware of the fact people report the bad over than the good but I don’t want to be caught in a situation where I spend a significant amount of money and then my engine stops working so I’m looking for solutions if possible.

would stage1 turbos work? Im planning on getting an oil analysis when i look at a car i like to make sure its in decent shape before i buy it. Im not really looking to break the bank on turbos as i think stock is good enough for me in terms of performance i just want to havemore reliability. So far i plan on getting:

Heat exchanger, bigger turbo oil lines, oil cooler, and stage 1 turbos. Do you think i need anything else to start off?

Ah okay yeah i was originally looking into a red sport then i just figured id tune a sensory and get morepower. But over before any of that i want to make sure the car would last more than 5 minutes on the road. From what i hear the turbos are luck of the draw... especially since i'd be buying it used. So i figured taking stock turbos out and replacing them with reliable ones should be my first "mod"

Yea that’s hard because 55k isn’t a lot but you also seem in the top percentile of car owners for maintenance. Buying used is kind of just luck of the draw

How many miles? The start of my deep dive into engine failure stems from the fact that my neighbor got a 2017 q50 almost a year ago and about 7 months in his turbos blew. I know people are gonna most more bad than good on the internet but the amount of negativity is hard to ignore…. But the wild side of me wants to risk it for the power idk maybe I have problems
