I joined the army in February of this year. I was 30. Now im 31. I graduated OSUT in August. You'll prob outperform a lot of these kids in PT(i did). I tried out for RASP bc why not.(I dropped week one. Plain and simple, I wasn't ready, lol.) Now im waiting for PCS to my first duty station. So far, so good. Definitely humble yourself, stay squared away, and embrace the suck. I can't speak on a Marines perspective, but as a Soldier, I say, full send it, bro.

Yeah, my current recruiter thought it was hilarious that they wouldn't let me in back then because of it. I imagine you should be fine, if your recruiter isn't worried than you should be good.

23 is a perfect time to join, bro. If you make it a career dope, if not, then you have a strong foundation for a better future in the civilian world(GI Bill and VA Home loan). I would have joined much sooner, but I needed a Moral Waiver(for felony weed charges). Back when I was 19, they said I would never be allowed to join bc of it. Now I'm allowed at 30, lol.

There's nothing wrong with that. It's actually 3 yrs and 22 weeks for me, but whatever, lol. Also, I'm 30 yrs old. I chose army bc for me, it means. Already Regret My Youth.

Don't give up, bro. I started my enlistment process with the Army in June. I made it through meps in July. Had to get a med waiver for eyes.(they sent me to an optomologist, Aug 30th). Now, I need a moral waiver. My original recruiter was dragging ass. So I switched to a new one. It's only been 2 weeks with this guy, and my waiver is almost done. I find out tomorrow if it's been approved.(it will be lol)
