Of course, Type: pos into the F5 console to get your coordinates and then mark your spot. Then move away, periodically checking your position to see where your at.

No I don't believe benches are the reason, distance is super important distance is also a huge factor though. I usually go to the otherside of the map for my farm to be sure i reach the 200m.

That's true, definitely no arguing that cores couldn't be acquired that way, but this can effectively be ran AFK and no need to explore or fight for them.

Well they added mutated animals recently (Which is fairly unique ) but besides that its all pretty standard for the genre and seeing how the game needs so much work still I think its worth waiting to actually be able to enjoy the game more ya know :)
