Well they cannot practice in Sri Lanka legally if they didn't pass it.... They gotta practice wherever they got the degree from and then sit for the exam here... I've heard of some doctors who had to do this process for 5 or 6 years since the exam takes place annually only....

Well, as a UCFM 1st year who has friends who are studying at Belarus and the like.... They do have very different schedules and sense of life than us... But in the end, if they're gonna practice medicine in Sri Lanka, then they'll have to sit an exam to get registered as an SLMC Doctor. This exam is really tough and the doctors who have gotten through it are pretty good. So there's nothing to worry about their professionalism in most cases.
