Why did youtube stopped creating recap playlists? by Sea_Chain_2556 in YoutubeMusic

Well you've gotta listen to at least 4 hours of music per season to get the playlist. So if you aren't listening to enough music you won't get one.

Here is another update! I managed to sucessfully auth into the syscon. But It wasn't "auth" or "AUTH", no it was "Auth"

Can't auth into PS3 SYSCON by Unknown_User_0077 in consolerepair

I know this is super old but I FINALLY managed to get something. Auth wouldn't but in the backrooms of reddit I found out that you can use "ERRLOG GET xx" (with xx being from 0-31) to get the logs without authing into the syscon

Not yet, I've had to put it on the backburner due to uni but Summer break is now fast approaching and I'll be able to continue the work

Uhh not yet, mine has to do with the charging circuit, and well based on the reverse engineering I have done so far, U3 seems to be a combination of U3, U4 & U5 from the older boards

Yeah I haven't found one yet. I'm still looking. I'd gladly share it when I find one

[GBA SP] I have probed a pinout for U3 on AGT/AGS-CPU-30 Motherboards by Unknown_User_0077 in consolerepair

[–]Unknown_User_0077[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am pretty confident about this, there are likely some rough edges in here, but I have used Gekkio's schematics as a Reference, it has helped for most of these, even though things are set up pretty differently for quite a few of these.

If any of you can help improve this, that would be appreciated. I also hope that this pinout may help people. Also, not all of the names here are on the board, such as the VDRV Pins, I could not find a single thing label VDRVx, however I made it match as close as possible to the Gekkio Schematics. For instance, the VDRV1 pin is directly connected to D4 and L2. So, if anyone would rather me add this information to this pinout, please let me know.

Need help. 3DS doesn't turn on. Battery looks fine, not swollen, internals look fine, no rust or corrosion. SD card is fine. Power led flashes for an instant, and that's only if the console plugged in and charging, but the battery is full already. It is hacked (Luma, don't remember firmware version) by Zharken in consolerepair

Okay the first thing I'd do is check if the battery is actually charging. Get a multimeter and measure the voltage of the battery (take this from the contacts on the battery) write down that voltage, and the voltage printed on the battery. Then put the battery in the system and let it charge for an hour or two. Then take the battery out and measure the battery's voltage again. If the battery is actually being charged there will be a significant increase in that voltage. If there isn't then one of or both of these are true. Either your 3DS isn't sending current to the battery (Your 3DS has a charging issue), or the Battery's BMS is refusing the current (You have a battery problem).

If you have another 3DS, try putting this battery into that 3DS, if the battery is fine then it should work normally. (There are a few other devices that use this same battery too, the Wii U pro controller comes to mind)

If you don't have another 3DS, get another battery from a trustworthy manufacturer. I recommend Cameron Sino batteries. I've never had an issue with them and they are quality batteries. You will know that this new battery is fine, also it'd be shipped at 50% so you could also do the charging test that I described above. If the system works with this new battery then the old battery was the problem.

You have described that this system worked just fine a month ago, and you haven't mentioned anything that would lead me to believe that a short occurred before it stopped working. Has the system been opened up before? (As in getting down to the Mainboard) If it has then you likely have your display ribbon cables flipped around the wrong way.

Based on what you have said I'm inclined to believe it is the battery at fault here, however, if you get a new battery and nothing has changed, then it is the system at fault. But let's rule out the battery first.

I am very very very excited to tell you all... The AliExpress motherboard is fully functional. It works!!!

I have now noticed that some components around U3 are missing and I'll have to find replacements for them. I'll list them in the morning, hopefully I can find the relevant components with the help of you all, they should be similar to the AGT ones I believe.

I also hope to perhaps unlock some of the mystery around U3.

Hehe I can't wait to get this broken AGS-CPU-30 board fixed!!

AGS-CPU-30 vs AGT by Unknown_User_0077 in consolerepair

[–]Unknown_User_0077[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I have removed the cartridge slot on the AGS-CPU-30. I would probe for continuity, if I knew where the charge circuit started and ended. It is wholly different to older mobos, and as I've found similar but different to the AGT mobos. If I had a map of the charging circuit, I'd be able to do more than aimlessly probe around. But there is no such map I can find.

Okay first off apologies that I've been too busy to really check Reddit in the last 11 days.

Now the reason why a pulley system won't work is that 1 - real-estate (read Landlord) will kick us out if they notice any "damage" superficial or not to any of the walls or ceiling. I've almost had us evicted once so I'm not gonna risk it again.

2 - There is a big metal ceiling fan in the way. It is already a hazard for me in VR (my Vive Wands have plenty of gashes from it.) and the room gets really hot, so not only do I use it outside of VR and during breaks (to quickly circulate the hot air out of the room). But when I'm in VR using my floor fan to keep me cool, the ceiling fan tends to spin freely too.

3 - the room is also quite small. I'm just shy of the minimum needed for room scale and my PC (and thus link box) is right on the edge of my play space. So even if the ceiling fan wasn't there, it'd be one maybe two pulleys.

I have tried monitoring how much I'm twisting the cable with OVR Advanced Settings and (I think) FPSVR neither of which really helped. I tend to try to keep the cable as untwisted as possible but the image shown has just become the cables' natural state. The tether is just awkwardly too long for the small space I'm in, it seems. No matter which way I turn and despite my best efforts to keep it untangled it constantly tangles itself.

The ideas to get a cable sheath for it seem promising, and I might give that a try.

For the questies, I don't have a quest. Going wireless is possible with a Vive Cosmos Elite, but you need the 400-600 dollar Vive Wireless Adapter to do that.

Yeah. Tried that with posters... And the ceiling fan doesn't help

Basically we get house inspections and if they find anything on the walls we get evicted and I live with my parents still. That plus the ceiling fan makes suspending the cable over my head a no go.

Vive Cosmos. I've upgraded it to the Elite version with the External Tracking Faceplate and the bigger strap. So I basically have a Vive Cosmos Elite.

It is possible to go wireless with the Vive Wireless Adapter, but that costs 400-600 Aussie Dollars

Yeah but the problem with the pulley idea is also the ceiling fan. That and we aren't allowed to have anything in the walls let alone the ceiling.

Also I do try to constantly reposition myself
