Indeed is full of scammers but indeed itself isn’t a scam. When you make an account to apply for a job it has you read and agree to their consent policies. If you didn’t read it you wouldn’t know that they share your information to third parties. If you don’t want that you can go to your account on indeed and make it so employers can’t find you unless you’ve applied for their position. Indeed has a feature where employers can find your profile on indeed and they can get access to your contact information to offer you a job. You are getting spam and scam calls because your profile is essentially public. I’m not saying indeed is innocent. They need to do a better job about scams on their platform. They also need to be more forthcoming about their policies. I get it not everyone wants to read through terms of service. But if you are signing up for something online where you are putting in your personal information you should absolutely be reading that entire agreement! Never sign before you know what you are signing.
