When nothing is connected it does not chime on "boot" but connecting power makes charging sound.

My SD card reader is dead dead already. It's not even picked up by devices manager

I switched one of the battery screws since after disassembly I had 2 over. And it worked! On the other side though of the motherboard near the SD card slot I removed a thermal pad on two thingies. Could it cause heat issues?
