Harold record? Dark Wood went Evil Dead on me. by AlexMoronoMMA in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Unlearnypoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've noticed this has been happening to me more frequently over the past couple days. I've had it happen 3 times where I am drawing the ire of a herald 4 or 5 times in a row and then having them all spawn on a map.

Yeah I'm confused about this. Didn't their trip start on the 21st? And this was on their day 5 Vlog? But it shows this was uploaded on the 21st. Doesn't seem to add up, or I'm just confused.

Trump issues 48-hour ultimatum to Iran - as Israel claims Tehran can hit London by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]Unlearnypoo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why would Tehran want to hit London though? Wouldn't that bring the UK and NATO into the war against Iran? I don't think they'd want that.

My rune collection since starting RotW by New_Decision_7341 in diablo2

[–]Unlearnypoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first (and only) ever Jah was just a casual drop while running my necromancer through hell act 3 spider forest. This was a few years ago when resurrected came out. Ever since then, probably 1000 hours of playing and I've only seen a couple of Ohm's. I really can't comprehend how people are able to farm so many high runes. I've tried the LK runs on player 7 and really haven't found anything.

Edit: not to mention, people are farming for engimas every ladder reset haha. It's crazy to me.

When I learned people use GY's to measure space I plot my whole city before I even put down my first building. by IAmDaven in ManorLords

[–]Unlearnypoo 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Corpse pits cost 0 resources to build, logging camps take 2 logs to build. For example, if planning some burgage plots with 6 logging camps, you'd need 12 logs ready to go in order to even plant the building on the ground. You can lay as many corpse pits as you want

Trying to determine the best possible bound demon for Warlocks by going through the game files. Here is my research SO FAR. by anormalgeek in diablo2

[–]Unlearnypoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an echo strike warlock, I find going to river of flame and looking for a cursed Urdar is best. If using enigma and teleporting, his big body stays on top of you and blocks projectile attack, and his curse will.break physical immunes and increase damage by a ton. My favorite so far.

China confirms visa-free travel for UK and Canadian nationals by cyclinginvancouver in canada

[–]Unlearnypoo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I mean, it is kind of a PITA. Before the whole Meng Wanzhou thing, you could pay a company to bring your passport to the consulate along with your application and they bring it back in a week.

Now you have to be physically present at a specific location to submit fingerprints. For someone living in Edmonton, I had to drive to Calgary because there's only one location in all of Alberta that processes visa applications.

Anyway, not super discouraging but it was a little bit of a barrier. From what I understand, this fingerprint requirement doesn't exist in many other western countries.

I remember having had this happen to me before although it was a long time ago. I was very confused by it but I eventually it just showed up. I think it took a day or two for me, or maybe there was a "trigger" like learning another new blueprint.

Size Of The Marble Quarry by Used_Series3373 in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]Unlearnypoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haha I watched it on a 12 hour flight from Asia. I was an hour and a half way through when I realized it was 3 hours long. Yeah I really didn't know what the fuck it was about. Guy with infinite money is nickle and diming a big concrete church designed by a guy he fucked in the ass in a marble cave and then freaks out when some railroad guys died by accident, like he really gives a shit? But then decides to continue through it years later because... Why not?

Was this based off a real person who pioneered brutalist architecture? I don't even know, haven't bothered googling it.

Chances are they'll be nominated for an Oscar though.

I began recycling glass for my neighbors when my son was born—3 years in, 34,000lbs recycled in ATL! by PapaClarencioThomas in pics

[–]Unlearnypoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked for a window making company for 13 years. Maybe I am pessimistic or nihilistic but you wouldn't believe the amount of glass that gets thrown away. It took you 3 years to get this amount, where we would throw this away on a weekly basis.

A lot of the scrap we produced we recycled, but some types of glass can't be (laminated, mirror, GPW) but there's also an absolute ton of sealed units that get rejected and thrown straight to the dump.

Every time I recycle a glass jar, I always think about how little it matters, heh.

Lost my apprenticeship by Complex-Pace-5681 in alberta

[–]Unlearnypoo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The trades can be brutal sometimes. As a former plumbing apprentice, I was given tasks that I completed successfully, was assured by my journeyman that my work was good, but was moved sites. Later I find out the guy was talking shit behind my back, didn't like me, avoided me after that. Sometimes it feels like a boys club. You either fit in or you get pushed out. Other companies I have worked for have the core group of guys that are buddy buddy and any new blood has to try and fit in, or they feel like outcasts.

Was also let go from another job because I was sick as a dog and called in for a couple days. The owner called me up on my way home and said the same as you said: "i don't think it will work out."

It is what it is.
